Desmond: Thank you for that information.
Desmond: Please wait while I check that for you
Harjeet: due excessive usage
Desmond: One moment please...
Harjeet: it am told to call on 2148845124, I called but that phone is not working
Desmond: Please do call 214 number using other phone for that.
Harjeet: i did that
Desmond: You mean no response even if you are using other phone?

Neville: Hi, This is Neville. Please allow me few moments to check your previous chat transcripts .
Harjeet: Please
Harjeet: Neville r u there?
Neville: Yes
Neville: One moment please...
Harjeet: its taking too long
Neville: Harjeet, I am checking your magicjack account
Harjeet: ok
Neville: Allow me few more seconds
Neville: Thank you for waiting
Harjeet: ok
Neville: Harjeet, It appears that your account is blocked for using magicjack excessively
Harjeet: As per MJ i can use for 1 year
Harjeet: no minutes mentioned
Neville: You are not able to call our billing number , 2148845124 , Correct ?
Harjeet: no i cannot
Neville: Ok
Neville: Harjeet, I apologize for inconvenience.
Neville: Do you have any alternate contact number ?
Harjeet: I read that message that I cannot make calls as Outgoing calls are not allowed due to excessive usage but MJ claims that I have to mpay nothing for 1 year
Neville: Yes, that is correct
Harjeet: I am in INDIA no alternate number. I can give India number

Harjeet: Neville in that case I am treated as football as you must be the 3-4 person so far and there is no rational reply...
Neville: Harjeet, I understand your concern and do apologize for inconvenience.
Harjeet: If your policy is unlimited use for 1 year, it simply means it should not be barred. Am I rght
Neville: Harjeet, you have one year service but you can not use magicjack excessively .
Neville: This is in Terms and conditions page
Harjeet: By apologizing it does not solve the purpose. India is your largest client base and this is not the way.
Harjeet: No, it is sold by your ads mentioning "UNLIMITED USE"
Neville: One moment please...
Harjeet: you admitted yourself just a while ago that yes can use Unlimited for 1 year
Neville: Harjeet, I don't want to be sound rude, but you can check our Terms and Conditions page
Neville: If magicJack sees excessive use, including but not limited to, a customer whose usage is twenty (20) times more than the average magicJack's customers usage, or systematic or intentional misuse, it reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to terminate your use of the magicJack device and/or Software immediately, and you will not be entitled to get a refund of any licensing fee or any other fee you may have paid to us.
Neville: Please click here to check Terms and Condition page
Neville: Please check the point number 6
Harjeet: I have no international usage at all. I use to call only on 1 particular number that too to my Fiancee, If your average client calls per day five minutes, does not amount to disconnecting my number as I am sold not on their average usage. I am not misusing it and this Term and Condition must be highlighted... Isnt it?
Harjeet: You agree that you are responsible for your own communications and for any consequences that arise from them. You agree that you will use the magicJack device in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, rules and regulations. Among other things you will not agree to, and will not authorize or encourage any third party to: (a) prevent others from using their magicJack devices, (b) use the magicJack device for any fraudulent or inappropriate purpose, or (c) remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices contained in or on the magicJack device, including those of any of our business associates, from whom we may have licensed certain components used in the magicJack device. Harjeet: It does not amount to any violation under any circumstances
Harjeet: How does a normal person get to know your average user minutes???
Harjeet: Had u issued any warning before disconnecting?
Harjeet: Did MJ brought to my knowledge this clause before disconnecting my connection that I am using excessively?
Harjeet: Kindly reply to my queries based on rule no. 6 laid in your agreement.
Harjeet: In a nutshell it is a limited use and MJ is fooling people... isn't it?
Harjeet: Your ads ads and claims are deceptive and amount to breach of trust as it is shown something else and given something else>>>

How to Block Outgoing Callerid / Caller ID

magicJack does not directly provide a method for blocking the outgoing caller ID.

You can however use the Skype plugin for magicJack to place your outbound call via Skype instead. If you really need to block your outgoing caller id this method works well.

You just dial * before the number. Your caller id will not be displayed to the other party.

An unrelated upside is that any of your friends or customers that use Skype can also call you for free.

The Skype plugin for magicJack can be downloaded at http://www.pcphonesoft.com

Magicjack won't install on 1 of my computers

I can't get it to install on my main office system, but it installed on an older A64 3800x2 system perfectly. It does work fine on that computer, but I'd rather not have to leave it on all the time just for the magicjack. The system it won't install on has a MSI P6N SLI motherboard, Q6600 processor, 4 GB ram, and is running xp pro. I have a feeling that there is a compatibility problem between the USB controller and the magicjack but that is a guess. It does detect the hardware and the tigerjet device shows up in device manager, but the software will not install and it tends to slow down/lockup the computer for about 2-3 minutes. Both computers are running AVG AV so that doesn't seem to be the problem. After 5 hours on their chat, I gave up with them! Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

fax machine

I have a separate fax machine. How do I receive faxes on this machine through magic jack? The phone line rings but I received no fax. I could hear the fax tone on the message that was left on the magic jack voice mail in my email account.
I also want my answering machine to pick up the messages instead of leaving on the magic jack voicemail, since I don't check my email account on a daily basis.

911 button never turned green

A friend of mine whom I hooked up with a MJ, installed it about a month ago and entered his 911 info. When I got my MJ, my 911 button turned green within a week, but he's had his MJ for a month, and his 911 button is still yellow.

What's up with that, and who can I contact to get that fixed?
I'm concerned that if he ever has to call 911, they won't know where he lives.

Multiple MagicJacks on one PC

Hi everyone. After (quite possibly) months of messing around with my two MJ's trying to get it to work on one computer... I came across a site the other day recently, from a company that claims to have an E-Book addressing the problem - http://www.conversetech.ca

I did phone them at their number, and suprisingly enough, a guy named Chris was happy to answer my questions (although not providing answers I guess they already wrote in their book). I did find it a little surprising that they are MagicJack users themselves and willing to answer the phone; when MagicJack themselves have a hard time getting their act together in that department.

Anyhow, I ordered it, got it (I apparently was one of their first few customers for their info), and am in the process of making it all work. I shall let everyone know...
