My views concerning GVJack

OK, here is my unbiased view of the GVJack app.

About 3 months ago I came across the site at phonesoft.com. I read with interest the claims of being able to use a magicjack dongle with google voice to have free phone service.

It's only 20 bucks and I have 3 unused magicjacks, so I bought the program.

It was the easiest thing I have ever done on the Internet. Installed the app with the magicjack plugged in, entered the serial number i received after purchase, entered my google voice login information, and voila, it worked.

After three months of heavy daily use, we have completely converted not only our home phone, but our business phone as well. I know they say it is not quite good enough for business yet, but how much better can it get.

We have not missed or dropped even one call, and the sound quality on both ends is even better than our cell phones.

I am here to say that I couldn't be happier. Anyone who actually pays 20 bucks a month for a home phone through a cable or dsl company really needs to get a GVJack app and a free google voice account.

Anyway, that's my experience.

Call Blocking

Is there a call block feature for MJ+ from either MJ or some other vendor/provider?
I have too many bogus calls coming thru and the Federal No Call List is BS - doesn't work and has no teeth to enforce it.

Magic Jack takes away call forwarding

Hi, I have read several earlier replies on this subject. I have tried the link to call forwarding and it does not show call forwarding anymore. I had saved the link on my desktop before when it was first removed and the chat room gave me the link. It was working fine about 48 hours ago. However, once I had to replace my magic jack due to disconnections, suddenly the desktop icon I had saved for call forwarding will not work anymore. If anyone has an idea about correcting this problem, I would appreciate the advice. I call mj chat and I am getting the same problem with their staff in not helping to resolve this situation. I did try the call forwarding link others had posted earlier on this chat room but it did not show call forwarding anymore. Thanks for any help you can give me on this!! Dudley
