[WIN7] Flash Player Plug-in won't install in FireFox

I have Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate. Firefox won't play flashplayer content but IE will. I tried to download Flash Player 10 and was successful. But then the website/Firefox says I need a plug-in to Flash Player. But installation of plug-in fails and I get the following error message:

I successfully installed Flash Player with Firefox. But after the installation it tells me I need an additional plug in from Adobe to run Flash Player. But when I try to install the plug-in it fails and gives me the error message:

Can’t write: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.DLL

Then when I click on the "details" button of the failed download it says:

Details:

Delete file: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\install.log

Output folder: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

Execute: "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\uninstall_plugin.exe"

Can't write: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.DLL

Flash player plays find on IE.

Suggestions for getting it installed in Firefox?

[FireFox] FF cloning all tabs when going home

I just installed FF 3.5.5 I had been using 3.0

When I click on the home icon in the navigation toolbar, ALL my tabs get cloned. So if I've got 4 tabs open and I click on the home icon I've now got 8 tabs open. The cloning only happens when I click on the home icon in the navigation toolbar. This didn't happen before the upgrade.
I've made no changes to my configuration. I haven't updated any add ons. (The only one with a pending update is FireFTP)
Anyone got an idea of how to stop this?

Looking at the firefox process, it's using a large amount of memory and has a massive number of Page Faults

FF 3.5.5
Windows Vista Home Premium SP2
Add-ons
1-Click YouTube Downloader
AdBlock Plus
Colorful Tabs
Download Helper
FireFTP
Fission
ForecastFox
Html Validator
MS .NET Framework Assistant
Searchbar Autosizer
Tab Catalog

Mozilla Thunderbird as EMail Client is driving me nuts

My wife's main gripe about Windows 7 was losing Outlook Express as an EMail Client.

Anyway just purchased a Computer with 7 as the OS. I downloaded Thunderbird and transferred her ADDRESS BOOK from Outlook Express.

There's no problem with the transfer EXCEPT it Shows in Thunderbird as ADDRESS BOOK BACKUP.

So when she wants to send a GROUP message the Address Book Backup names will not transfer to the TO and CC section of the MESSAGE.

Now she has to right click, select Properties and copy and paste the Email Address.

From the Personal Address Book section there is no problem.

How do I transfer my Email names from ADRESS BOOK BACKUP to PERSONAL ADDRESS BOOK? OR how do I use the Backup to CC and TO sections of Message.

Thanks, this is driving me nuts.

[Extension] Split or side by side tabs?

Is there an extension that will allow two tabs to be open side by side? I hope this makes sense, but I hate to have to open two windows and rearrange them side by side for comparisons and such. I've been looking for a while, but never found anything like it...

[FireFox] Default Google Site / Language Preferences

I work for a rather large company that tunnels all of the local web traffic out to our head office in Europe. When I visit google.com or even try to use the built in google search in firefox, it always redirects me to the french version of google. Can anyone recommend a plugin that will resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance!

:)

Update: Setting my home page to http://www.google.com/ncr seems to be a short term solution for this problem.
