<title>WNDR3700 updates</title>
<link>http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,26849462</link>
<description><![CDATA[I have a few questions about my WNDR3700 router and they are;
Is it possable to update the MiniDLNA program? Right now it is running MiniDLNA version 1.0.18 (from the latest Netgear firmware) and MiniDLNA is now up to version 1.0.23 according to that project's website.

As for the WNDR3700 firmware, I have found out it can run DD-WRT. What is that and what can it do compared to the official Netware firmware? If I upload the DD-WRT to the router and I don't like it can I put back on the original frimware?

I don't want to 'break' the router by messing up the system. ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[I am running firmware version V1.0.0.22_1.0.17. I have the 2.4GHz networking set to "up to 300Mbps", but the device never uses a second channel. Anyone have this working successfully?]]></description>

<title>Best alternative firmware for WNDR3700?</title>
<link>http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,26428981</link>
<description><![CDATA[I have been using Arokh&acute;s OpenWRT build for WNDR3700 with great success for a long time (more info: https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=27722). However, the latest versions do not offer the greatest performance - the fastest IMO is build r25460 from 11 February 2011 (at least when combined with the Intel wireless clients I am using).

Build r25460 is also very stable and has better wireless performance than Netgear's stock firmware....

It is available here, for those of you that may wish to try it: http://www.2shared.com/file/P1uU5AgU/openwrt-wndr3700-20110211-r254.html (see flashing instructions in first link; it is of course possible to revert to the stock firmware if needed)]]></description>

<title>Need help with WNR1000v3</title>
<link>http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,26823445</link>
<description><![CDATA[I just let the router upgrade itself to 1.0.2.42 and now I'm getting extremely bad wifi connectivity.

When I try to roll it back to 1.0.2.26 I get "Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file." I am using a wired connection to the router.

I can't find any custom firmware for my router either. Can anyone help me?]]></description>
