I prefer the physical format

Well I'm glad Apple is going down this road. I have about 85 DRM'd songs from itunes so I know its going to cost me some $$$$ to eventually upgrade them all. Recently, I started only buying a song/album from itunes if amazon didn't have it. I just prefer to have all my music in one universal format if I can help it.

lossless

Do they offer lossless downloads yet? I'm only interested in lossless drm free music.

Way to go!

Way to go Apple! Thanks for finally making the change I've been waiting for. As for me downloading from them...I'll wait a little longer. I'd really prefer to download files from them in raw format (wave). I don't want any loss. I like my music 100% pure. With my 40 Mbps download speed it wouldn't take too long either. Now for those on dialup or slower speeds...they should still offer other formats that are lighter. Give more file options and you just might have me back as customer.

EDIT: Spelling correction.

Exactly. You should be able to choose your format and encoding quality.

The major labels music isnt worth it at any price

because most of whats being released now is CRAP!!For those of us who like EDM (House,Trance,Club,Dance, etc),places like juno.co.uk and beatport.com have been offering DRM free lossless as well as .mp3 for quite a while now. Doesnt beat free but its the legal alternative. Also more expensive than typical mainstream garbage from the major labels. I cant think of anything released by the major labels in the last 10 years thats worth paying for or even downloading for free.

I only buy .wav files. If I want a mp3,I just make one from the lossless.

Slsk

No dice

Searching for something rare on Slsk, or not even something that rare like say "S.L.O.B" by Dr. Acula there first full album I believe, I search it up on iTunes and all I see is "Below Me!" I search it up on Amazon same thing.

Look it up on soulseek and bam 5 people have the album in there share folders.

Ditto to most other music I like.
