Higher prices else where?

So I guess this means my cable bill will go up so they can afford to give some other service away?

If you read the article you would realize this is free to current customers. It says you need your Comcast username/pass to access the Wifi.

wifi

I was actually out on a call in Bernardsville the other day and was shocked when I turned on my laptop to use my aircard, that both Comcast and Optimum wifi connections were available. Since I'm a CV customer, I could only use that network. I can tell you with about 75% signal strength, it was marginally faster than dialup. If i'm around there again, I'll run some speedtest and post to OOL forums.

Now only if they could get around to my area.

Since I have a (dormant) Comcast account as well as Optimum, it should be interesting to try both of them to see how they compare.

This is great

Not that I'm a Comcast customer, but for some reason my Comcast.net account from 7 years ago still works. Now only if I ever took the train...

Aah thanks for the heads up. I read it but really didn't pay attention to it cause I was on the phone.

Does it come with random porn sites replacing your intended destination feature too?

Great!

My question is, does it count against your cap?

Which train stations?

Hopefully they get the Northeast Corridor

It would be interesting in the New Brunswick and Hamilton train stations, as both Comcast and Cablevision serve the area.

I highly doubt it.

Caps

Would the 250 GB/month cap count when using the Wi-Fi access points?

Ditto, but... "...We've learned that Cablevision customers should also be able to access Wi-Fi in New Jersey eventually -- there should be an official Cablevision announcement on this before long."

Karl 's usually Johnny on the spot with his pieces, nevertheless, I've been waiting for this for awhile, I live and work near Newark's Penn Station, ideally this the railroad hub of New Jersey would have the service by now, but ideally and logically don't come into the picture in NJ, ever.
