Sprint at the bottom

I think their ranking is pretty accurate. They released the Nextel 8350i in December and it has be frought with bugs, some of them significant (how about having to power cycle the device to receive your text messages).

So far CS doesn't even know how to acknowledge these issues, much less fix them. I've heard of people who have had their handsets swapped 3-4 times by Sprint for problems that are clearly not handset related. I've heard of supposed software updates that were to be here by FEB 1 that never materialized. Well not actually. It was posted for a few days but bricked so many phones they took the update down. Now how's that for service.

Yup, Sprint is right where they should be. At the bottom.

It sucks when the user equipped with an internet forum (bbforums or crackberryforums) knows 10 times more than the CS they are talking to. Pathetic.

New to Sprint

New to Sprint (2 months). Absolutely love the service so far. Have had no call issues, CS issues, or phone issues. Best rate per month compared to the other carriers.

I have NO complaints

I've been with Sprint since they launched service in my area in 1997. I've had very few problems with them and when I did never had any issues getting them resolved. May have had to wait longer in the past to speak to a CSR...but that's just the way it works sometimes. Great products, excellent coverage, and reasonable prices have kept me with them for almost 12 years. If you have coverage issues in your home and have a high-speed internet connection you should definitely look into the Airave. I bought mine back in August for my lakehouse which no provider covered - parents have VZW and no coverage; sister has AT&T and no coverage; brother has Alltel and no coverage - and after getting the Airave I have full bars. I hear they now sometimes offer it for free. I highly recommend the Airave to address in-home signal issues.

Aside from a few decades of my life spent getting hung up on

I have actually found Sprint to be tolerable. Granted I had less problems with them before I switched to their IC 902 powersource piece of garbage which makes it somewhat hard for me to be nice.

However I have been with Sprint since 1996 abouts, and that was after AT&T stinking (granted this was pre digital), Verizon being a gang of thieving secret charging low lifes, and T Mobile selling me a phone in a location where they had NO service whatsoever (was decent service until I left the store) and then wanting me to pay a 200 fee to cancel.

Anyhow I find myself hating Sprint the least I suppose . . .

spiral downward

Even if there were a slight uptick in satisfaction with short hold times (higher rep to customer ratio) there is still a downward spiral in Sprint's customer base.

If you look at customer retention programs, they offer very little to contract customers to keep them loyal. Their nextel prepaid offer is better than what they'd offer to contract customers. That shows you they're more interested in getting new customers than keeping the ones they already have loyal (many companies make this mistake, but in a down economy.. sprint is on the losing side). That churn rate is primarily what's killing sprint wireless.

In contract sprint sell starbucks lemonade for $4 plus tax, while nextel sells no contract lemonade for $.50 with a $.50 cents off coupon and no tax.

BTW, my last comment was purged for some reason (moderator?).. so I'm reposting slightly less insulting comments.

im satisfied with their service and customer service.

ive been with sprint for 3 years and im very happy with my service. everytime ive ever had to call them (i can count them on one hand ) they resolved my issues to my likings. i have no thought about leaving and i just renewed my contract and canceled my landline becuase of the simply everything plan. but alot of ppl bash sprint and has never tried the service. btw sprint has the best price plans of any major carrier.

Another happy Sprint customer

I've been with Sprint for almost two years now (had Verizon before, since their PrimeCo days) and I'm very happy with their service.
Even the couple of times I've contacted their customer service (by phone and by chat) they've been cordial, knowledgeable and took care of the problem.

I didn't have any complaints with VZW either, only reason I left was for Sprint's SERO plan, which is unbeatable.

As a sprint user for 2 years now

I have been pleased. I will come out right now and say that my friend works at Sprint and has given me the employee pricing package he uses. Other than that, that is my only connection to the company. I still get a bill in the mail, I still have to pay for my phones and service. And I get to wait in line with everyone else.

But I can say that signal strength is improved greatly, so has call quality. I also don't drop calls as often as I was on Attws/Cingular.

As for customer service, the sprint store was the only wireless store that actually greeted me, and then fixed the problem I came in to get fixed.

Not as bad as some people think

I've been with Sprint for more than 6 years (After suffering with T-Mo, AT&T) and also have a VZ Blackberry from work. To be honest, there is absolutely no difference in coverage in the NY/NJ area. I don't know when was that last time I dropped a call on Sprint. The positive with VZ is that it gets spotty signal for few seconds in the NYC subway tunnels which is not really a big deal other than receiving work e-mails. Sprint's CS was a nightmare a couple of years ago but has improved significantly (I didn't have to call them for more than a year now). Sprint's EVDO blows VZ in terms of speed and coverage. My BB falls to 1xRTT all the time but haven't seen this with Sprint. Most of all, my bill is about 40% less than what I would be paying to VZ for a compare-able package. My brother has AT&T in NJ and has a lot of problems with dropped calls and coverage and their 3G just plain sucks. The only problem with Sprint is their phone selection which is nothing to be proud of.
