All it means that ATT et all will be able to have an official roaming agreement with Cuban telecom company. So they'll be able to continue wire-tapping |

| Good idea.
I think it is a great idea, if the Cuban gov't will go for it. I have no ties to Cuba but would like to visit. Maybe you can change something by interacting with it. So.... Verizon and their Fios product would be great for Cuba's internet consumer. The big question is, can Cubans afford it? Will the gov't allow this to happen? If things play out well, I could see Cuba becoming a wealthy little nation with a high standard of living. |

I don't think its a big issue. Fidel isn't in good health, and I can't say much for his brother. Lets see if Cuba wants to work with the U.S. though. -- Canada = Hollywood North |

Verizon phone work in cuba for years, they tell you you can not make or receive calls front cuba, but they never block you for doing so. |

1 edit | Havana is 500 years old, a Spanish Architectural Masterpiece, a Vienna of North America. With pristine(Non Commercialized) beaches 20 minutes from the city.
Miami is a 60 year old overcrowded slum, and Hotels right on the beach(No Scenery at all). Everything in Miami was built to be fast and cheap with out any heart. |

None of the carriers list Cuba on their 'international roaming' lists. Furthermore, it would be pretty hard to claim you werent in Cuba when you have a cell phone bill showing otherwise! -- When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat. -Ronald Reagan-

You can get them now, just not entirely "legally".
I know someone who purchases Cuban cigars regularly. Won't go into specifics but they don't come into the U.S. directly from Cuba. They go through a proxy country first. . . -- Tradition: Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid. --despair.com |

I always wanted to travel to Cuba, and have been jealous of my Canadian friends for being able to do so. I've always heard good things about Havana from them.
This is great. I just hope Havana doesn't become overly commercialized and start to look like Miami.
You're right about Miami. Been there, done that- don't want to go back. No thanks.
Next vacation- Havana! The food, the music, the old cars, the architecture... this is gonna be an adventure! |
