There is an Amazon UK? Wow...they've really grown. Kudos to them for this decision.

I hope this is good news. Also the fact it is in the UK makes my point possibly invalid. I do, however, wonder how much of this is an effort to get some good press after the rank removal debacle of gender related literature earlier this week.

How do you "opt-out" of a middlebox?

So does this mean that none of the traffic goes through Phorm's hardware or software? Or does it simply mean that the software analysis doesn't record anything when an Amazon domain is involved?

Why does Amazon need to Opt-Out of wiretapping at all? It's ought to be illegal from the start!

Amazon UK had FAR BETTER movie selection than US site for many years now including uncensored EU versions of by default censored US movies (I have imported many of them.)

Let's face the reality: US is well behind of many Western countries in many things - Amazon is just one of them, its UK site long offered things I couldn't ever find on the US site, thanks to our BS-spewing corrupt hypocrites in charge for legislations.

It means that Phorm won't record info from the Amazon domains. Everything would still go thru the Phorm hardware, just like it would any other router in the path.

Re: Amazon UK

of course you must need to own a region free player since the MPAA thinks they have the right to control what country you can watch a legally purchased movie in.

Was a little disappointed they didn't show the full torture scene in Taken. Lucky Brits!
