Attempted murder anyone? I can't believe that the person who took the truck, didn't see the tech in the basket, I mean, how could one possibly miss them? |

| reply to Cheese I would guess the Charter "worker" was asleep...just like they all are up here in NE Wisconsin. They won't run cable here if their lives depended on it. If you do get them to respond, they quote some silly $30K to run a cable to your home...
I do hope the worker recovers, and I am not making light of the situation, but man, around here, Charter blows.... |

said by Matt :I hope they catch the knucklehead and put them in jail for attempted murder. "But but but, he was a good kid."
I get so sick and tired of hearing that from the family of convicted criminals with lengthy records.
The idiot who stole the truck should be dragged behind the truck he stole. |

That was kind of my point, if they knew the person was in the basket, which I couldn't image they wouldn't, they are willingly putting that persons life in danger and in fact, it did become dangerous and the person is now in serious condition due to someone who felt the need to steal a cable company truck. |

On the serious side, I agree, these dopes do need the book thrown at them. WHO in their right mind would steal a truck while the basket is extended? Doesn't that make the getaway rather difficult?
The one question I have is, did they hotwire the vehicle, in which case, how could the tech not see them? Or...if they didn't hotwire, why were the keys in the ignition? No, they don't need to be there to run the basket...trust me. |

They'll get some ambulance chaser lawyer who will argue their "client" didn't see the person up in the bucket...they'll also say they're a "good" person who made a bad decision.
Chances are this scumbag is a career criminal with a long record who shouldn't be on the streets anyway. |

Some dude was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control of his car, crashing into a bunch of children waiting to get into the zoo. When pulled from his car and told he just killed a bunch of kids, he said "That don't mean nothing to me." -- It's a trick. Get an axe. - Ash |

There's no way the thief didn't know someone was in the basket. It was elevated for crying out loud! Common sense would indicate that, most likely, someone's in the basket if it's elevated.
People truly have no natural affection these days... ...sad. -- "Suddenly everything is fainting, falling from a broken ladder's rung. There's a jolt exhilarating from the phone I'm holding...I hear the words of what I'll become, how eager the hands that reach for love." - Blind Melon - New Life |
