| no thanks att just got a 16gb 2nd gen touch----precisely because i had no interest in feeding att an extra $30/month. ultimately some (not all) things are only worth what a customer is willing to pay. in my case, it might be a value @ $10 but $30 is ludicrous---ergo, they get nothing. btw, loving the touch. | |

| Iphone for every carrier?? As a device maker Apple doesn't care. Unlimited data is the established norm in the US, and if ATT wants to keep their exclusive agreement with apple, they will keep the unlimited data.
If ATT and Verizon don't offer unlimited data, there are lots of other providers like Sprint/ Virgin/ Boost , Cricket, and MetroPCS who already use an unlimited model.
Ultimately, apple wants to keep its customers happy and they won't with the massive overage charges. There has already been enough flak about overseas roaming charges, I'm surprised that ATT doesn't offer an unlimited worldwide iphone plan.
Besides, unlimited usage doesn't necessarily produce additional costs. Most consumers like unlimited plans for the piece of mind it gives them and don't change their calling habits all that significantly. Look at the mass migration to regional unlimited carriers from the nationals and rbocs. | |
