| U-Verse is a waste A friend of mine has U-Verse and I think it's horrible. He's had numerous techs out, all the wiring in his house is brand new, it stutters constantly. This happens with only one TV on. The HD quality, at his house anyway, is horrid. Before that he had Comcast and the HD was great. The only other people that I know that tried it canceled soon after and switched to WOW. | |

Hey, if customers cancel Uverse, it must mean the cable company offered better rates right or more channels or more sports channels or its the economy, right? It can't possibly be because the service is crap and customers face Customer Service and tech escalation flowchart infinite loops when they have problems.

I am having a hard time with DSL 1.5 and U-Verse is nowhere near to come to my part of town...go figure Hello fellow floridian, we all have hard time with current ADSL tiers that was standard in 2003. But its outdated now as there is a very high demand of upstream which AT&T (formally BellSouth) unable; failed to provide in SF region.
I have no complain about the uptime of ADSL in my area as its rock solid and its rarely lose sync. I am also happy with the downstream speed as I have no use for downstream as I don't download much. But I do use upstream and to be on a tier that only offers 512kbps its not acceptable by 2009 standard. What else is not acceptable is not deploying anything faster so the consumer who does require higher bandwidth tier can get it and charging them $42/month for 6mbps/512kbps tier where their competitors Comcast offers 8mbps/768kbps (usually 9+mbps downstream and 1-1.9mbps upstream without PB).
So I like to know is where is this piece of shit outdated U-Verse/twin bonded sad attempt at VDSL? when will we see this joke tier in SF? maybe by 2012?
PS: For all wannabe AT&T fanboys if you didn't notice that all loyal real customer are not satisfied with the upstream that is offered on max tier on ADSL contrary to all the BS that is spilled by them thinking U-Verse will be their saver. I have real news for them U-Verse is waste of time and AT&T will lose the upcomming bandwidth mbps war that is about to hit by next year. When other ISPs are offering 50-100mbps AT&T will roll out 18mbps? I don't think so as they even failed to deilver that in most area without cherry picking some small area.

| Re: Rollling out in Middle Tennessee and Central Illinois Yeah, they have several VRAD cabinets installed in Dickson, TN as well (( just west of Nashville )).. Still non at my RT, but the buildout did get really close until they suddenly stopped building out (( naturally, this happened with dsl too for me with dslams )).. The self induced bad economy is the perfect excuse this time around... | |

| just got it I just recently had U-Verse setup in my condo, no problems (except for the built in wireless is awful). I have two HDTV's with no issues. The sustainable rate from he VRAD was 66Mbps, so my line is great. I guess that is what makes the service that much better, but I also am not concerned with providing for a large house, which I can easily see become a problem if they don't transition to FTTH/P. | |

@comcast.net | att uverse Wish I could get AT&T Uverse in my Jacksonville, FL neighborhood. Competition is good even if I dont switch. It keeps the service good.
