I just signed-up to FIOS about 2 weeks ago. 10/2Mbps Triple play with $150 cash back. It's scheduled to be installed tomorrow.
Anyone knows if I will be automatically upgraded to 15/5Mbps? Should I call and ask for it, while it's not installed yet? |

I pay $70 for 10/1 right now. The only other alternative is DSL. |

DSL extreme hasn't be updated with the latest packages yet. When they are, and if I drop pay TV service, then I might look at them. Till then the bundles from verizon come up cheaper. |

Most of us in DC have given up waiting for FIOS and ordered Comcast. And without asking, Comcast has once again upped the ante with faster speeds and even less.
My Comcast costs me $25 a month and I get 23Mbps down, 4Mpbs up. How can Verizon even begin to compete here?
It's a case of too little, too expensive, too late.
See ya Verizon (or more aptly: Fio-what? Oh yea...they never could get their act together even in the nation's capital). |

I pay $49.95/mth for 1.5/768, so stop all ya'lls complaining about price. Yer all too spoiled if ya ask me.

I just got Verizon FiOS last week and they are now coming out with this crap. I called them this morning for the new package and it is more expensive to upgrade is what dude said. He went over the prices and for me to upgrade to their 25/15pkg (which I currently have 20/5) it would cost me like another $30/month. It's like screw that, I mean I would like to the 15 up, but not at that cost. I don't do torrents or anything like that, so the 20/5 is good enough for me!
But it is nice because I do get my 20down & 5up for sure!
GOD BLESS Verizon FiOS !!
P.S. The upgrade I think should be impletemented automatically to existing customers for the same price. This is the 3rd change in service (that I can remember) since FiOS has came out with. |

In my area(Nothern VA) Comcast charges $52.95 for the 20mbs tier, $62.95 for the 30mbs tier, and $100 for the 50mbs tier.
FIOS charges me $90 for their 50mbs tier. Plus all the FIOS tiers have a much faster upload speed than Comcast. |

Not a good deal for me.  For a small bump in internet speed and a couple more HD channels, my triple play bundle would go up by $25 a month. In this economy, I don't think so. Thanks for nothing Verizon!

only in ny do user get 35/20 which is not a big deal from 20/20
since new york is only 1 out of many states, 35/20 shouldn't even be mentioned since 95 percent of subscriber are stuck with 20/20 or 25/15 |

I had to pay $10 a month for the "upgrade". I went from 20/5 to 25/15 and gained Showtime and a couple of Movie Channels. The triple play bundle was 99.99 and now is 109.99. I've been asking for the ability to bundle a higher internet speed for a long time, so this fits the bill for me!
