He should have stolen a qwest van before robbing the store. It also makes me wonder if this was a spur of the moment thing, or some sort of premeditated crime. |

She got a huge headache and was robbed 3 grand all in one day.
Many Comcast customers get huge headaches over months and months, and get robbed way more than 3 grand over the life of their contracts.
He did her a favor. |

Thats what you get for having a workforce that doesn't get to steal legally (Unions). If Comcast was unionized, none of its techs would ever need to worry about robbing to survive, they do it by clocking in each day for overtime shifts. They would be paid too much and they can't give up those fat pensions. |

Picking individual employee activity out of 100,000 is really not front page news IMO. Do you want to make this a BBR headline trend? In that case please include BBR Front Page headlines for.
• Man dies after argument with Verizon technician • Man accuses AT&T employee of accessing company records for death threat • AT&T Wireless AT&T employee opening accounts in your name? • AT&T Employee Misleads Customer, And Now He's Trapped In A 2-Year Contract • Vindictive Qwest Employee Slashes Six Phone Lines • Verizon Technician Busted For Making $220K In Phone Sex Calls Using Customer's Lines
This was too easy and not really representative of the companies. |

Perhaps to a select few, but based on the discussions, the way it is tagged (business . cable . Comcast), and reused in other stories make it more of non-equal opportunity smear campaign. |

Someone robbed the robbers? Don't these places charge 5% of the check just to cash it?
Seems better to simply get a checking account. -- "If it can't be done with brains, it can't be done with hours" - Clarence "Kelly" Johnson |

The check cashing stores make as much sense as pawn shops. But no one is forcing anyone to use them. If a person wants to use them that is their own decision, although a very bad decision. |

A lot of these places get their business from illegal aliens, who can't get checking accounts because they can't provide valid identity information as the law requires in the banking industry. -- My BLOG .. .. No, a lot of these places take advantage of the POOR people. Some will cash checks in advance of payday. For example, if your phone is to be shut off on Tuesday but you do not get paid until Friday, they will "front" you your paycheck but take a huge chunk of it... just so they can pay there phone bill.
It is just like the "rent to own" places that take advantage of people that cannot get credit. Usually poor people that need a refrigerator or washing machine. They cannot get credit, cannot afford to buy something they need right away, so they go to a place that "rents to own" something that is used, that they sell as new with a 40% markup.
Places like this make me sick anyways. Take advantage of the poor and disadvantaged. Not that the employee was making a ton anyway, probably minimum wage... so everyone loses except the owner of the company. Too bad the owner was not there to get the beating? |

Troll much? If you hate unions so much, move to the deep South where we have wonderful right-to-work laws and very few unions. Be prepared for your income to be cut in half, though. Wages down here aren't quite up to New York standards.... |
