Yeah. in the UK. I know that the local "trading post" has lots of CDs on the cheap, if you know what to look for.
But is everything released on iTunes not always on CD?***
What was that computer makers moniker? Oh yeah, RIP, MIX, BURN...
***I prefer having something to fall back on for when that iTunes library is gone when that HD dies..

They need to put it

Even if you were paying $500 a month you wouldn't be entitled to that much bandwidth. Also it only applies to the top 2% of users and it's only between 9 AM and 9 PM. That's better than what the ISPs here in the US do with their maximum 250 GB caps. |

| I personally think that any usage caps on a connection are dumb. When a connection is sold to a person, it should be sold with the assumption that it may be used for some sort of activity 24/7, and priced accordingly.
Selling an "always on" connection and effectively telling people that it cannot always be used is deceptive and reflects poorly upon a company's ethics, management, and moral standards. But then again, look at who's supplying the connections (at least in the US)... I would hardly call cable and telco companies the pinnacle of ethics, morals, or customer service...

And then you'd gripe because the connection you get for that guarantee for the same price you're paying now would be reduced to 1.5 - 3 Mbps. |

Then how is it that we constantly hear of other nations (particularly in Asia) that are able to provide such high speed connections with no caps so cheaply?
Either there's something I'm missing in the pricing models, or the cable companies and telcos are gouging consumers. Given their histories, I'm more inclined to assume the latter than the former. Please provide some information to give me more insight or prove my assumption incorrect.

I'm not quite sure what you're pointing to here... Customers are obviously not so unethical that these companies can't survive. Perhaps if you could provide some examples I could understand a little better.

Using 15 TB in a month would require that they use their 50 Mbps connection at full throttle 24/7 for the entire month. The number of people willing to do that or even capable of doing that are so small the effect on aggregate traffic would be miniscule. While a few local nodes would experience congestion, upgrading such a small number of nodes would be chump change for such a large ISP as Virgin.
Verizon has been offering 50/20 service for a while now, and they don't seem to have any issues with that. Same goes for Cablevision. Same goes for ISPs offering symmetrical 100mbit connections for almost a decade now in other countries. |

Cable, Telco, & satellite have all had to put extensive fraud prevention features in their services to stop theft. It just makes it hard for companies to take the high road when they know who they are dealing with. And at the same time, the honest customers then don't trust the companies because the companies don't trust them.

Sorry for my confusion.
But you do have to admit that too many ISPs look at their high usage users as stealing from them, which in no way should they be allowed to call them thieves....
