 | | Layoffs The games up at verizon. They wanted all their "old dogs" from the baby bell days to retire. So it happened and now you got a whole lot of people that have no idea how to run that ship. They shit all over their customers, and wonder why they leave. The term is line loss..
Now that things aren't going so well it's time to play verizon's blame game. Associate work force gets the to be the punching bag again.!! They beat up their associate workforce with methods and procedures and tasks that clearly cannot be done safely or at all then the discipline and constant harassment starts when the workers question management. It's actually quite assinine. They constantly talk out of both sides of the mouth, so to speak. Management DEMANDS respect but fails to return the same. Lower level managers are allowed to only practice "fire house" management with every single itsy bitsy decision having to go up the chain of command for approval. They constantly preach "productivity" at verizon but the reality is that so much is designed to fail that an outsider would surely question who is steering the S.S. verizon.....
I feel for my brothers and sisters that got laid off. I'm a cirt in western pa and I'll tell u things are way outa wack out this way. No work.... hiding work....... faking numbers......

| | | | Re: Layoffs During these times even before the Holiday Season Verizon has a record of laying off employees one day before Thanksgiving, guess this is the American way of says thanks for giving but we don't need you now because we need to make sure our shareholders get the thanks. | |

| | Here is southeartheastern pa we are hearing 700 techs and 28 managment by 1st quarter between PA and NJ, this is in addition to the cuts made in the 4th quarter, anybody hear anything else, is their a site for Verizon techs can go to for more info/ rumor stuff? | |
