is it true

this priceing plan sure beats the 500$ a month bill ive been getting for just phone and internet. I guess I cant complain for the 1st time in history I got a correct fios bill this month. Whats really funny is 12 hrs later we had 2 feet of snow

Timing is everything

Well, I guess this explains why a lot of the flyers I've seen all say "offer expires 01/16/10, must install by 01/16/10".

Meanwhile, we've had duct in the ground for about a month now, with no indication of any further construction or fiber pull activity. I doubt my part of BFE PW county is gonna be installed in time to beat the new "deals".

Memo to Verizon: you're burning up a lot of goodwill with this decision. As much as I detest Comcast, this change in terms is making me rethink my desire to go FiOS.

Those flyers should read "install by 3/16/09."

why pay for Fios internet when you can get it for free?

I cancelled my Fios when I found out about the Fios WEP calculator now all I do is leech off my neighbors 25/15 connection. Its also great to use for free wifi if I pull over into any neighborhood in town.

Hmmmm

The ETF doesn't do much to me, I'm interested to know what the plan hikes will be, although I'm supposed to be locked in for two years?

FIOS vs Cable

I recently switched from FIOS to Time Warner Cable to save a few bucks. My first dissapointment was the fact that TW makes you pay for a wireless router/modem. But whatever, I paid. Then, right after setup, I used a service other then what the tech suggested to do a speed test...It was ridiculous!

As long as I can afford it, I will never go back to TW. Never. When I can't afford it, I will use my sprint mobile broadband. It is faster then what I was getting with TW even though I was paying for 12/mbps. I quickly called Verizon and they lowered the price and turned me on the next day. FIOS rules. Cable is horrible!!!
