Bloom County | In our area... AT&T does a very good job placing them out of the way - near roads and at the extremes is the lot.
I find it funny that one larger box is worse than a ugly green power box or cable tube every 5 houses right on the curb for these new neighborhoods. Virtually none of these can have plants around it...

1 edit | I'm lucky not to have the boxen on my yard.... However Cox installed (not a box) but a cabling point or something in the corner of my backyard. I really don't mind it, however apparently when they work on people's cable in the neighborhood they need to access it regularly and this is where it's a bit of a pain. I don't like to hear the sounds of people moving around outside my house without knowing what's going on, and the neighbor's dog will go NUTS for the whole time they are there.
So if I'm trying to sleep and the dog is barking for two hours it's annoying. Gotta annoy the techs too I'm sure. The point is right by the fence so the dog is yelling at them from 1-2 feet away.

Billings, MT | Question.... Why do people want decent bandwidth, but don't want the equipment to deliver said bandwidth anywhere near them?
Me.. if I got a free superfast connection to the internet by putting a box in my yard, I'd go for it. It'd have to be freakin' fast, though. | |
