cost of cell

the cost of cell service is reaching where phone service was about 8-10 years ago so that's about right for most people. unless consumers need and/or want a second (voip) phone line they will want to pay the least amount for it.. the thing is that price isn't with your last mile provider.. so then comes the conundrum for last mile telco & cablecos... gouge consumers for subscribing to only ONE service or force them into a dual/triple play with incentive pricing (ie only $5-$15 price difference) which is like asking consumers to "super size" the already $6-$7 fast food meals @ (pick your poisoned ff restaurant).

Re: cost of cell

well I think what is driving more and more people from land lines is the cost and the taxes and fees that are tacked on and no one can explain.

My land line is $15 a month with at&t bare min line.
NOW THE TAXES AND FEES ARE AN ADDITIONAL $17 a month.

ANYONE care to comment on this mess?
