Can you ask them to make a statement about how they're currently out of channel capacity to add new HD's and what their plans are?

Re: TVI looked at this newfangled 3D TV when I was in Best Buy the other day. It was a bit interesting, but beyond that I'm not foaming at the mouth to get it. Give me a nice 1080p TV and high def source, and that's good enough. Does that make me a Luddite?  |

3D video feeds and projections are not standardized yet. Until there's a clear format winner, I wouldn't drop a single dollar in that market. Paying for cutting edge technology now that's rendered completely useless by platform wars just down the road is too bitter a pill for me to take.
So yeah. You're better off saving your money now, or spending it on a higher quality 1080p TV & HD source. Neither of those will be garbage-worthy for some time. |

My HD-DVD player player makes a great hutch for my wobbly dinig room table. Leveled it out completely, and it doesnt move anymore. |

In fact, when it comes to HD you have claims from DirecTV, Dish, FIOS, Evil Comcast and Uverse claiming the same title (and in a lot of cases with more channels). Ultimately isn't it based on the region? Either way... top of the industry is inaccurate... (unless you have tangible evidence that shows otherwise) |

According to the Yomiuri Shumbun, Toshiba will release three models of an autostereoscopic 3D TV set before the end of 2010.
Toshiba isn't the only company working on an autostereoscopic TV--that is, one that won't require you to wear glasses to see 3D images. The upcoming Nintendo 3DS will use an autostereoscopic screen, and we've covered the topic in the past. But Toshiba has been working on improving the limitations of 3D TV's for a while, as Engadget points out. |

I remember a few years ago when we were looking for a new DVD player. We were in the store and they had one last HD-DVD add on to the 360 left so I grabbed it. My wife said "there are more blu-ray titles so we should get a blu-ray player". Fast forward to a few months later and the HD-DVD was pretty much dead. I won't admit it to this day but she was right. |

Verizon - the next ComcastClearly, Verizon is trying to become the next Comcast. It's just not that interested in being the carrier, it really wants to be the content provider. This does not bode well for America's broadband future. It's very, very sad. |
