Billings, MT | Switching to new package soon.. Well.. from what it sounds like.. To benefit from the new speeds you need to call them and switch to the "Optimum" package. We currently have Bresnan's Speed Plus package (15x1) and it's rather nice. I did hear that the new package is (30x5) which would be rather sweet.
I'm a bit surprised they don't auto-update everyone to the new packages, though.. I can't wait until they push the update through so I can get a new baseline.

We've had 15x1 (18x1 last year) for awhile now. CV is updating that to 30x5. |

| The same fate should come for mediacom. They are terrible service provider. Internet slow downs at nights, poor programming and vod, DVr, old boxes. No dsl, no iptv that would compete. In my area even directv can't compete with tv, because their beloved slut landlords don't allow dishes anywhere where I rent. And I don't live exactly in the place where You would want to own house. |

Re: Switching to new package soon.. I just upgraded from 8000/384kbit to 15/2mbit. I had to call them to upgrade. It cost me an extra $1.50/month due to small differences in price structure, but I think a near doubling in my download a 5x increase in my upload is well worth a $1.50.

You'll love the even faster speeds to come. We just hope we get the channels that Bresnan got that us over here in the original Optimum territory don't have transfers over our way. |

Mediacom are you listening! Going from 3-12 Mb is a huge jump and iId love for them to offer a performance plan like Comcast where you can get 5 or 6 mb for $30 |

The only mention of CV on the regular Optimum website is a Copyright 2011 CSC Holdings, LLC.
There are probably legal reasons for doing it that way. |
