 | Maybe Maybe they can fix the sub 56Kbps speed I'm seeing on my USB aircard...and HTC Arrive, while they're at it. |

My phone performed fine in 3G while his was 500Kbps or worse in same location. |

I have noticed a significant drop in speed on 3g in Atlanta, Miami and Chicago over the past year on my EVO. But nothing as bad as the new IPhone users complain about. But it is enough of a drop to cause notice to me also. |

| Really??? Don't know why people run out and buy Iphones the first day, there always seems to be a problem. In general Sprint is not a good network where I am, Verzion is hands down the best carrier but I live in an area with a bunch of swamps and islands so I would imagine coverage isn't the easiest thing for a cell phone carrier to accomplish. |

Re: sucky sprint Over the past year I have seen my overall speeds decrease. I used to consistently get over 1 meg down and at least 700-800k up on 3G. Now I get 300-400k tops down and about the same up. I have been using Android for the past 2.5 years or so.
If someone took a poll, I would bet overall across the board, Sprint's speeds on all devices are lower than they were 2 years ago. I have friends with air cards that switched to Verizon because Sprint slowed down so bad. |

 | My speed 3g on my 4s shows 92ms with .95 down and .01 up. On verizon! |

Apple is supposed to be notorious for perfection and while the iPhone is a good product (at least on other networks), if this is not just an overloaded Sprint network, who is responsible for dropping the ball? Was Sprint given advanced access to the phone and were they were supposed to extensive nationwide testing or is this Apple's fault for turning out faulty firmware/drivers or whatever? |

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE SAMSUNG EPIC 4G
they denied denied denied and then finally when enough people got pissed, they fixed it with a software update!! |
|
 | reply to battleop No, actually hardware performance is completely testable, and given its a apple the software should not have many surprises either.
I suspect the release was rushed and software and hardware were not tested properly. |

Re: My speed The upload seems like a problem, maybe verizon is having some problems on their end too with the 4S or maybe it's just a bad speedtest, it happens sometimes. unfortunately .95 down actually isn't all that slow for verizon 3G anymore I average about .9 mbps down with spikes as high as 2.3 and dips as low as 600kbps depending on the time of the day. I can't wait till verizon offers LTE here the 3G network in central NJ is strained pretty bad. I have a HTC thunderbolt so I'm ready to go with 4G as soon as it's available, unfortunately it's currently about 5 miles away from us. |
