Just what we need...a Government doing the job of parents. All computers, and televisions, come with a filter to prevent children from viewing pornography. It is called the off switch. Mission accomplished, no new laws need to be passed, no new government bodies created.
And this proof for America "suffering" a pandemic of harm? We say so. How many times is Facebook cited as a major factor in the breakup of a marriage? We should ban that too.

I don't get itWhat is "porn induced sexual disfunction" anyways? And what about the child porn crap? Adults are getting "bored" with "normal" porn, and so turn to child porn? Does that mean when someone gets bored with their wife, their kids are in danger? Who are these people. They must be pretty fucked up if they think that is perfectly logical.

This is about promoting religion, not controlling internetThe theory is that if you are not watching porn, then you will read the bible and attend church. (This helps satisfy the goals of the Religious Taliban Right in this country)
Thing is, this sort of thing shows up on presidential platforms all the time. It's meaningless crap that has absolutely no chance of going anywhere.. It makes for some fun headlines and it warms up the faithful, but even the AFA and the Morality people don't have a remote expectation of it moving forward.
And let's not forget that the porn publishing and video industry is HUGE, probably larger than the commercial movie industry. There is big money to be lost if this sort of shenanigan goes forward.
