| Just a matter of time to get the rest. Is surprising they have this much lined up before having a single TV customer.
It will be interesting to see if the TV agreements will go beyond Gfiber, that is, will channels someday be available via any Android device.
Google will have a huge edge over Apple and Microsoft in trad content if they can take it beyond Gfiber. |

| Getting There The missing stuff is the Time Warner/FOX suites:
I don't see Time Warner playing along. FOX will probably play along soon enough.
Also, the AMC Networks and BBC America are still not on board. But Dish is going over without the former, and Cablevision went for years without the latter.
It's the Fox News/FX/FSN and TBS/TNT/Cartoon Network/CNN/HBO things that may be problematic. |

Yes, and that is why a la carte cable does not exist to consumers, and probably never will exist. If my cable bill was less and ESPN and Disney both cost $10/month I'd be happy to opt out of both. If reception was better where I lived and I had a better choice for internet than Comcast I'd probably consider opting out of overpriced cable TV altogether. |

Yes, and that is why a la carte cable does not exist to consumers, and probably never will exist. When al-la-carte channels run $1-3 (as they already do on big-dish satellite), how exactly do you save money with a-la-carte? By going from 250 channels to 20?

| Google now taking actual orders online I just signed up for actual service and my fiberhood (ranked in the 50s because if major registration issues in my hood) will deploy in Fall of 2013. I'm in Westport/Plaza area of KC, MO. It looks like they are mostly doing KC, KS first as it was announced first. |

Re: Consumer Choice would have been more Innovative you do realize that Google does NOT get a choice on anything as far as TV. you take it or leave it. Content providers will tell them the same as they tell everyone else; don't like what we say; then no channels. Easy as pie. |
