Tulsa, OK | The USF Fraud continues unabated Even after the reforms. Local companies like Easy Wireless have been caught red handed by local news outlets giving out phones to ineligible people with no documentation.... even giving the same person multiple phones on a single day.
We all pay for this fraud, and they do it because they are getting rich in commissions and providing these fraudulent services.
It's really bad in Oklahoma where the "Co-pay" is $1 a month, and rarely if ever is paid. The phones are sold already activated and ready to go at flea markets for $20, no questions asked. They are used by gang members and drug dealers as throwaway phones.
It's completely out of control. They need to come down hard on these con-men and fraudulent companies AND the users alike.

| It gets better!! TracFone just got a government "trial" contract to provide these same fraudsters with smartphones and data plans!
I'm SURE they'll do a better job a monitoring data use and making sure those getting the phones are eligible. They are the government, after all, and are here to help. |

The people committing the fraud are private companies, not the Government. However it will be the Government who has to stop the fraud, and the easiest way is to bring the rod.

It's so disingenuous. The only people who would use mobile broadband or satellite for their main broadband connection are the people who have no other choice. Sure, it's an "option" but only as a last resort.
