| Blackberry Coup? Hardly That is like saying nearly all Blackberry buyers are toothpaste users. iOS and Android dominate the smartphone market so anyone buying a BB smartphone is likely to be an iOS or Android user just as they are likely to use toothpaste and put on their pants one leg at a time. |

Re: This is why caps exist. Oh grow up.
If you can afford a $15K 4K TV set, you can afford to buy uncapped business-class service to feed it.
When 4K comes to the masses in 5-10 years, Netflix or its successors will buy-out the throttling or caps on your behalf, if we're fortunate enough to dispense with the whole "neutrality" thing.
This is a non-issue. |

But I never once heard it on the TV or radio news. So the general public doesn't see what is going on. Why? |

1 edit | Besides not everyone has room for an 82+ inch set in their living places anyway to see the higher clarity and detail of 4K. 4K TVs as a result won't be as widespread as regular HDTVs are. |

Re: Activists fear return of AT&T 145;monopoly146; Because the TV and radio news has figured out that they make more money by ignoring stories like this. Losing Verizon or AT&T as advertising customers will be leave them sore. Since their main goal has shifted from providing news to making the shareholders happy, they only report profit-friendly stories.

Re: Activists fear return of AT&T 145;monopoly146; Because it's not that big of a deal yet. Let the "evil" monopolies actually begin screwing consumers and then we'll read and hear the backlash from mainstream media. It'll start with opeds and transition to the front page when the "evil" telecoms cross the line. |
