LinklistPremium join:2002-03-03 Longport, NJ kudos:5 1 edit | Smartphones need bigger batteries; not bigger screens The cellphone makers need to end the bigger screens are better; thinner is better trend; and start thinking about a bigger battery is better. I have been checking out smartphones as I get ready to switch carriers and get a new phone in a couple months. And one of my key criteria is a phone with a battery in the 3000 mAh range that allows a smartphone to keep all its features(GPS, Bluetooth, 4G radio, etc) active and still last all day without recharging. So far the Motorola Doid Razr Maxx HD is the leading candidate with a 3300 mAh battery and according to reviews approx a 9.5 hr life running the whole time on LTE. »hothardware.com/Reviews/Motorola···-Review/
I haven't seen any info yet on S4 battery size or time on recharging, but I hope it is close to the Droid Maxx HD. -- Senate - get off your butts and actually create a budget that has spending cuts 3x the amount of tax increases like you promised.

Re: If the pictures are right.... In that instance, I can understand. But it's a slightly larger S3 with faster guts if the pictures are correct. |

Re: If the pictures are right.... Even if that's all there is, it seems to have worked for Apple through 5+ iterations of the iphone.
People liked the form of the S3, so why change it dramatically? I'm waiting to see what's new other than the bigger screen, but my future seems to be pointing towards a good, relatively cheap, unlocked phone with a prepaid plan. Let's see what Google has in store. |

What's new? Rumor is quad core, and... that's about all I got. Lol. |

Considering the S3 came out only a year ago and most people got it on a subsidy and are therefor still under contract the S4 isn't meant for S3 owners anyway. |

Re: Nice tablet hyperbole much? Not a tablet, it's a phone. Some of us don't have kid size hands. Plenty of phones for you people with normal hands. Some if us than can palm a basketball appreciate a larger phone. Also those of us with not perfect eyesight appreciate a screen we can actually read. |

A full charge will last me all day. The only thing that will prevent a full day of usage is if I turn on GPS navigation or watch lots of videos. |

Re: Smartphones need bigger batteries; not bigger screens Just get a third party battery.
Mugen Power batteries work rather well. I've used them for years. It does make the phone thicker, though. |
