| All "free markets" are tax funded. Otherwise markets would be mob(strong/rich) ruled or rule-less.
If you want to make the case that government shouldn't subsidize infrastructure (roads, sewers, water, electric grid, airport, railways, internet) then make it. Just don't get bogged down in the petty. |

I doubt there will ever be more than a few thousand Google Fiber customers. When Google has two million dark OTNs I'll believe. I see very little difference between Google Fiber and the Google open cell network.
Google is not and never will be a where the rubber hits the road company. They are great at selling ideas for someone else to deliver on.
Maybe they can use taxpayer funded NOAA weather balloons as Google Loons. |

I doubt the cable companies are overly concerned about Google taking over from iProvo. That competitor has been there for a long time and the cable companies already adjusted to that. |

Re: Google They can announce Tampa tomorrow but doesn't mean you'll ever have service. Hell Austin was announced well before Provo and they're "working" in that area, but yet they still keep adding cities for the "us too" game they like to play. |
