Charter/Time WarnerGo away Charter, indeed. I PURPOSELY moved from a Charter area to a Time Warner area since the Sanford NC area is HORRIBLE with Charter. Constant outages, poor picture quality and no phone service available--at the time.
I thought Charter was broke..almost bankrupt. How can they be buying up things like Optimum (in CO/Mont/WY) etc and now Time Warner.

They already purchased Optimum West. That's a done deal and those customers are now Charter's. And they're not broke. That was what bankruptcy court fixed for them. |

Charter should worry more about customer serviceWho cares really Charter should worry about improving such as allowing us to access HBO Go on Apple TV instead worrying about which cable to buy out, customers first Charter if want to be a successful company.
List of things Charter needs to improve for customer satisfaction:
1. HBO Go on Apple TV
2. Better download and upload speeds
3. More HD Channels
4. Better DVR device and Guide upgrade
5. Better mobile app that works with all DVR devices
6. Need access to Showtime Anytime app, Starz Play and Encore Play
7. Channels need to be added: FEARnet, El Ray Network, Chiller TV, The Blaze, Al Jazeera America.
This are things Charter Communications should worry about not Time Warner and I am so sick of seeing Time Warner ads on Charter.net or on TV when Charter clearly does not allow other cable companies in your area. |

Maybe you should be asking them why they don't allow Charter access to this app. 7) don't know |

No need to call it a prediction as it is an absolute fact that this is exactly what will happen. Our only saving grace would be if Verizon (Fios) actually fulfilled their contract here in NYC to wire the entire city. |

We in the state of NC hope so much that Comcast takes over TWC that has let there systems go to crap in this state due to many laws they made to prevent anyone from entering the market. We are a tech center yet the best speed we can get are 50/5 for over 100 a month and good luck getting all that speed and for it to work more than a week.
Comcast is far better even in places you can't even get DSL. They know how to keep up a network unlike TWC.

Time warner cable throttles Netflix and youtube like mad. Look up the word "throtting" on youtube and guess who is at the top of that list. They may not say they have a cap, but they do. Comcast only has a softcap that they don't even really enforce but at lest they tell you how it is than flat out lie about every thing. They think 60% packet loss is fine and that 1/3rd of the up to speed is also fine and unless you sue them they say nope no fix for you. If a 300GB soft cap is the cost of getting an ISP who throttles more than any other, who is slower, who is more outdated and could care less about most on there network than so be it. Because no one else can enter this state thanks to it's anti-broad band bill. (Kid you not that's what it is called) The RDU is a freaking joke internet wise to those moving from up north with Comcast or Verizon fios. If any ISP were "useless" it's not Comcast. TWC needs to pay for it's lack of leader ship and this buy out will throw out that bad leader ship that has lead to a loss of over 200k subs. That's not even to say they cost more than Comcast does anyway you look at it. |
