We did nothing wrong. It was just a faulty flux capacitor. Honest.

Any comments from Canadian government officials have the same ring of truth & credibility as those made by James Clapper in his testimony before Congress.

Greenwald Not Snowden

I believe they called Glenn Greenwald a porn-spy, not Snowden.

Also, we all know a porn-spy is someone who hacks your webcam and watches you hump remotely.

Does this mean that Canadian Government spooks hacked Greenwald's computer and watched what he watched?

Or, does it mean that the gov Spooks know that Harper has had extramarital affairs and know that it's only a matter of time till the Video of Prime Minister harper humping his secretary is online at TMZ and they plan to put it on Greenwald?

Hmm....

Say it ain't so!!!

GASP!!! Here is some news that everyone will act shocked about...

The Russians will be spying on people during the Winter Games next week!

Sorry but I don't buy that Snowden has this much real proof on hand. I don't doubt that most of what he says is true. I just doubt that he has the real proof he claims he has. Half of the crap he has revealed is stuff we already assumed our government was doing.

Rights are for billionaires, politicians and not you

For one, why do people use free open wifi? It takes barely anything to tap that connection and see what people are doing. Without an encryption tunnel(encryption which is broken due to Canada creating the backdoor key for the NSA) your data stream is open.
Its always been known that using airport wifi is a big risk and someone had to be storing all that delicious data.

Saw this article on how a street of shops in Ontario(Toronto's queen west neighborhood) are using a company's wifi harvesting product(for free) and the company uses the data for profit.
It is like constantly picking someones pocket, pulling out their wallet and copying the I.D. for creating a database of movements.
It is an invasion of privacy, due to that specific marker. The excuse of 'being in a public space' is not valid. Your anonymous person is now tagged for your repeat trips in to that area.
The protests in the Ukraine, people in a area of protest, were all sent text messages of "you are in a protest we don't like and we know who you are".
Silly people not turning off their cell phones as they are a great tracking tool.

Of course Canada has Bhell and their "Screw you. All your 'privacy protected data' belong to us for magnificent profit."

But this dynamic and progressive area is also among the most watched areas in the country for far different reasons — the movements of those who pass through this 1.9-kilometre strip with their Wi-Fi- or Bluetooth-enabled devices are being tracked and recorded.

There are 15 sensors in different businesses along Queen Street West that scan for signals emitted by such wireless devices, said Rob Sysak, executive director of the West Queen West Business Improvement Association.

These sensors, in this case made by Toronto-based Turnstyle Solutions, can follow a smartphone, tablet or laptop’s signal to track that consumer’s exact path. Whether they linger by the shoe rack or make their way to the register in the Fresh Collective clothing store, decide to head to Dark Horse Espresso Bar next, or return to the area in the future, these smartphone-sized devices are tracking it all.

Turn off your phones wifi or it will constantly ping for a router to say hi too.
Other companies in North America, when caught, have quickly turned off their 'test' of tracking.

Tired....

I am tired of this Snowden crap (he needs to be dealt with, who knows what he gives to communist countries). No government is honest, they all spy on their citizens and each other (What a shocker ). Why keep bringing this crap out in news. If the sheeple believe that this stuff doesn't go on and their life's are private, then let them keep believing it. Other than that there isn't anything that will ever be done about it. "The governments have the do what I want and get away with it badge". "Money and power = greed ", run the world, so people just have to suck it up. As technology progresses they will exploit it further. Sad truth Privacy is gone in today's times, they have technology that can see through your walls. So get used to it.

Re: Rights are for billionaires, politicians and not you

I very rarely use public WiFi and if I do everything is done over a VPN tunnel back to our network. I carry a MiFi everywhere I go and that's my primary means of working remotely. Even with the MiFi everything is done thought a tunnel.

I've been in networking for a very long time and I know how trivial it is for someone to listen to your traffic. I guess that's why I'm so paranoid about connecting to unknown networks.

How much useful info, if any, are they harvesting from people who do not connect to their networks? If I never connect to any of their networks they really can't take what info they can gather and track it back to me personally.

This is why stuff NEEDS to come out in the news.

Snowden has done a great public service. He deserves the Nobel Peace Prize far more than Obama ever did.

Wrong. He is a traitor and nothing but a Putin stooge that may have been a double agent all along.

I have known about things like that before Wiki was even a thought. I also know about other things they have done and are doing. Us military people have been lab rats for allot of things that will never be known about. What is bringing it out in the news going to accomplish? Like I said they have the do what I want and get away with it badge. Why do you think disarming people is a benefit to the government? It makes us more compliant, and harder to stand our ground. Obummer doesn't deserve the prize either.

Who goes to a communist country, then says he has classified info about his government. Do you think he is really helping the US? Who knows what information he has given that we will never know about. Also they could take the more information from him than what he wants to give or buy it. If he was doing a service for the public, then why not go to a friendly country, or put the information out in the media. Only a traitor would only go to a communist country.

At the very least a discussion about what our governments should be allowed to do and what they should not. How can such a discussion occur when they hide things for the sole purpose of preventing that discussion? You think we should just let the government do whatever they want without supervision? You should give Atlas Shrugged a read/watch.

Sorry but it looks like Snowden is the one with the 'do what I want and get away with it badge', the releases keep coming. What you said applies to the government too: privacy is dead... get used to it.
