Yep, glaring omission. Useless if it's less than 100GB, it's worthless (giving them the benefit of the doubt in that their cost per GB for delivery is still 3x higher than a cable deployment, so 1/3 the size of Comcast's 300GB cap) |

2.5Ghz nTelos LTE.. only select packages..That pretty much sum's it up.. Of course, the devil is in the details.
And what get's deployed to my area will be inevitably different/priced higher. For now, I'll stick with my monthly 5GB of 4G access and limited my surfing to that. |

IF there is no capIt's a good option if you have no other wired options. |

Well, the original trial was for 20-50mbps, and now it's down to 10. The original trial also used Alcatel-Lucent equipment instead of these "BandRich" ones. Of course looking back at the other trials I don't see any mentions of caps, but maybe since they scaled back the speeds, the caps either don't exist (doubtful) or were increased. Someone probably should just call the 1800 number and see what the sales reps say. |

Re: Is there a cap?said by biochemistry:Purposely omitted from the press release as it most likely only 5 GB. It looks like the caps are 5, 10 and 15 GB for $40, $50 and $70 a month. Download speed is 5mbs for the 5GB $40 a month plan and 10mbs for the other two plans. Well it looks like dish sure beats Comcast's blast 105 for $30 a month uncapped. LOL |

Only bundled with Dish service ?Hopefully Ntelos will offer this as a standalone service as well. If they restrict it to Dish customers that severely limits the number of interested people. Perhaps in this phase of the rollout that's a good thing.
Lets hope the caps, if any, are reasonable. If they price it like cellular data they lose their advantage. |

Still better than up here in canada where the best deal on fixed mobile is 110$ for 15gb. But, yeah, its still way too pricey for way too small a cap. |

That is for DishNet satellite internet, not the LTE service. |

If its wireless in any shape or form (wifi based, lte based, satellite based, whatever) there is ALWAYS a cap. I don't know if there are "unlimited" hours though, with many satellite providers you get 4 hours (in the middle of the night) unlimited a day, so you can schedule downloads. |

Re: IF there is no capIf there is no cap or throttling, the service will be quickly consumed, oversubscribed, overwhelmed and abused, leading to ... caps and throttling. |

Oversubscribed is a issue of insufficient build out. Not of a bad product. |

Re: IF there is no capIf they don't want to build more towers than they should limit the number of subscribers. It's simple math. Before the shareholders chime in anyway. |

Re: Is there a cap?15 GB for $70 month? That's actually really competitive.
If they offer this in my area I might ditch the AT&T ($80 for 10 GB, $15/GB overage)for this. Still holding onto the grandfathered Sprint 3G for things like patches, Netflix, and big downloads, and also hoping that when they make the tower 4G our 3G backhaul issues (300 kbps speeds at certain times during the day) will disappear.
Do you know how much overages are on the Dish LTE? |

said by UHF:That is for DishNet satellite internet, not the LTE service. Your right, my mistake. The web site says you have to call for details on the LTE service. The $30 a month price is only for those with Dish TV service right now. If the LTE service really doesn't have a hard cap then it would beat TWC standard internet and overall be a good deal for those who could only have 1mbs DSL. (Yep it's that or Comcast in my area now.) |

Just called them, lady said no capJust called them. Asked multiple times. Lady said 10mbs speed with no cap and I could watch all the netflix I want. I confirmed again and she said no cap. Without being a dish customer its an extra $10, plus extra $10 to rent modem - but $50/month for unlimited LTE isn't bad. Still very skeptical.... |

That's for the first 10 people that sign up the rest have a 5 gig cap. |
