Comment to Doctor Dan;

Don't count on Micro$oft. I gather that Disney, FOX and Micro$oft were the authors of the original SSSCA legislation that CBDTPA is based on. Micro$oft wants this bill, they currently have a patent on the concept of a DRM operating system. The legislation would kill all open-source development in the US (Think Linux, FreeBSD and any possible home-brew software project you might want to do at home) and would force all operating systems to pay Micro$oft royalties on their patent. This legislation would effectively give Microsoft's Monopoly a federal mandate and lock out any hope for competition in the operating system market.

I suspect our friends in this battle are going to be the hardware manufacturers; people such as Intel, AMD, DELL, Sony, etc. We can also expect support from companies that have a stake in open-source (Red-Hat, IBM, Sun Microsystems, etc.).

When the Million Geek march to DC starts, please count me in !

$$$$$$$$$$ is what it is all about,

Plain and simple. The crapheads that support this are only concerned not about how this will invade the publics lives and rights, nor do the give a crud about forums like this, they care about one, make that two things.

First is MONEY! The more they have and get and will get no matter who pays them, or how it is taken... These people protect that at all costs, even if they look stupid doing it.

Second the must figure a way to remain in the position they hold long enough to realize the most money possible. If they know they will go down fast, impose self made rules to cover the ASS-ets if themselves! If your lost read the first thing these shnit faces care about.

9 out of 10 maybe 9.99 out of 10 things stuffed in front the noses of these careless cold hearted godless creeps they do not even look at it. They are told to sign here and for doing so get really nice donations of things, trips, awesome benefits and a life style that we as the common folks will never ever be able to imagine in 100 lifetimes.

It will never be about the working class people's rights. Never. It will be about what those with money and who can buy power will want us to think.

How many recall CABLE when it started. NO commercials, no adds, no breaks in your fave movies. You pay to not see this crap. Then all of a sudden, they started. Ooooh $$$ not just some money, but the fools will pay for TV that we hooked them on by saying no commercials, and we still have commercials and make a mint off that as well as off the saps paying for so called license rights and BS we just make up to pad the pockets. Now the working stiff that pays and those who work and the front lines of the world, are only out to support the rich people who allow us the freedom we think we have. Almost no place on Earth is safe from these people as they don't care what it takes to make more, and more money.

If the people the masses really stopped and banded together, and formed a real united front, well, um that will never be allowed to happen again... After all, didn't America break from a certain England, with such a united front? Some might say that's crazy but, think about it. But wait, something in the news caught our short ADHD attention span. And, so we will continue on paying the rich to get richer. And we will like it. No make that LOVE it. As we will have what we think are freedoms, when all they really are nothing more than tools. I mean recall the internet will never be taxed, and it won't amount to anything, but hey I think pigs fly and it does snow in hell.

I too pay the rich to get richer, but I happen to not like or love it, it rather ticks me off.
