Yeah you'll be scared when the FBI or US Customs knocks down your door to confiscate your computer if you have copyrighted material on it. |

| BEWARE!!!
quote: According to Ishikawa, we'll see major arrests in October of people who have been illegally (and flagrantly) sharing movies. With the evidence already gathered, the game is afoot, meaning this week is too late to stop sharing those movies and expect to get away with it. This might be a good time to get a lawyer.
Now, I've never shared actual movies, but this line sure in hell scares me. If what he says is true, then DSLR's news threads will be very different come October. Take the time to read the article, it's not long at all. This is a credible source stating big things could be brewing. -- Where's my mojo??? |

| Yes if what the article says is true, then October should be interesting.
Personally i dont run any irc or p2p servers that ever contain copyrighted material, but im sure there a few here who do so heavily. I remember seeing an article a while back here about some guy who had 40 gigs of stuff constantly shared (and how he was the RIAA's "worst nightmare") and many BBR posters commented how that was "nothing" compared to what they had basically.
Surely dont wanna see any of our friendly folks from these parts get in trouble, but it's starting to sound like some of em would be wise to be a bit more carefull about what they do with their connections -- Proud Member of Team Starfire's Team Battlezone (Team #4) |

Do not even have to have anything on it (the computer), with a warrant and 'due cause' they can take the computer and have it tied up as evidence for a long time. All it takes is an 'expert witness'. -- I am not lost, I find myself every time. |

Well, if things come worse and organizations like this can enforce the DMCA at will, then I must say "Good-bye, America.".
Because this country will be going to the dogs that day, that's why!
In the meantime...I will be glad to continue sharing music and movies. Let's see the government try to arrest 30 million people. It won't happen. -- 8/28/2002 will live in infamy =P Down with the RIAA! |

Sure and just think of the draw on the resources in the country to house a third of the population? Or the tie ups in the courts, I mean courts now are so over burdened now that it would probbly be 7 or 8 years before someone actually got nailed on something.
Maybe they'll just make "pirate prison"? Bah...
The DMCA and people like senator disney are the reason that the US is going down the tubes. |

They won't arrest 30 mil. Just a few hundred of the biggest file traders just to send a message. They hope the rest of the population will get scared and will stop trading. That's what the gov't always does. Every year there is a big arrest for insurance fraud, worker comp, etc. too scare the smaller criminal. |

Right, and that worked during prohibition too. Perhaps instead of threatening and locking everyone up, they should consider useing the new forms of media to their full advantage. |

Did a people search -> Since they can spy on us why not spy on them
In people search 11 matchs found for 'Mark ISHIKAWA' But a funny one pops up in the search
MARK M ISHIKAWA SAN JOSE CA 37
For 40.00 you can get his last known street address and phone number
PETER ARAK HAZARIAN REDWOOD CITY CA 48
Sadly on checking the area code tied in an early article its a san jose area code as 408 is tied to the following cities (( San Jose, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Milpitas, Cupertino, Campbell, Gilroy, Saratoga, Los Gatos and Morgan Hil))
Redwood city is currently listed as -> 650
My belief is that the main location is in San Jose but actually their mail drop is Los Gatos for the P.O only.
Hmm.. this I see you but you people dont see me stuff is funny but I dont see how their company is hiding. Domain search already gave me their URL DNS entries and its hosted internal by them from what I see.... funny.
Checking main DNS server NS1.BAYTSP.COM -> 209.204.138.224
Traceroute showing: isi-1-lngw2-pos.ln.net Hop... hop... hop sonicnet-gw2.customer.alter.net (DNS Error) Hop... hssi4-0-0.border.sr.sonic.net hop... adsl-209-204-138-224.sonic.net (Last Hop)
... okay Im waiting for this hidden information to pop up!!!
Somebody please tell me cause this is confusing I expected like false information or something.
Sonic.net: Sonic.net, Inc. 2260 Apollo Way Santa Rosa, CA 95407
