Or even bill them for damages caused by lack of resources causing a system crash which made you lose your resume for that all important job that was going to be used to pay for the monitored shopping habits to make them rich.

The bad thing with this "adware" is the older folks who get the pop-ups for the "time sync" device, install it, and think it a wonderful thing to have.(now their clock is correct!) They don't read the TOS and all the fine print to know that this stuff will take over their whole system.
My 71 year old father had this junk on his pc, he thought it was a neat thing to have, but complained about his pc running really slow. I cleaned his system of the junk, explained not to install again and now his pc runs great!(he is now po'd at the sneaky rats!) | |

Netscape installs Gator. SBC-Yahoo software installs Gator or something similar. Family Tree Maker installs
Aqueduct. It records keystrokes. I do not use any of these products. I carry my personal crusade a little farther because I don't trust Doubleclick or any ot the other sneaky tracking devices.
Every time I leave a site I return home to a blank page. This is where I empty cookies and history. And if I am really suspicious I might shut down the computer and reboot later.
I work very hard at losing the "Gators" of the world and staying anonymous. It's extra work, but it seems to be moderately effective. One thing for sure, I don't return to any site that plants Gator. | |
