Poor Comcast Users

I know I wouldn't want to get kicked out of a restraunt for eating too much at an all-you-can-eat buffet. I'm glad I see TW has revealed the line, even if they aren't big on enforcing it. Information is good for the soul.

"With 3mbps now the standard downstream speed company-wide, and 512kbps upstream trials underway, the 'Xtreme' tier, and the debate, have quickly lost their relevance."

BS thats a fookin lie I'll be damn. Where is My 3mbps DL and trial 512kbps up.
Oh yeah they for got one thing.

BRIGHTHOUSE NETWORKS DOES NOT OFFER THIS.
I wish they were allot more clear on this because I have heard about 3mbps DL for months ahead while they were flabergasting about it. Then all the sudden a message was relayed that all TW customers would be enabled for it yet brighthouse networks was not about to do that.

Iwish they would be clear about this crap just like how clear they are with no mention of CAPS.

I'm subscribed to Earthlink Cable through TW, and I got bumped up to 3mbps around the time the speed increase was reported here at BBR. No 512 upstream trials though.

3000 down, 1500 up

I had to commit to one year for their new home office plan, 3 meg down, 1.5 up, $99/mo.

Re: Poor Comcast Users

I haven't run into the limit, but this is funny because I grilled (Earthlink Cable via Time Warner) them extensively about whether there was an upper limit when they moved me from DSL. I told them they I had VOIP coming in and out and would be using the connection for commercial purposes. They said no problem. Perhaps I should be confirming this in writing.

Perhaps you should.....something as important as your business relying on VOIP through the TW network, should be based on more than verbal promises.

It wouldn't take much for them to renig on your verbal arrangement and tell you one day that your service was terminated for excessive bandwidth usage against their TOS and then you'd be SOL if you had nothing in writing to back you up....

Re: 3000 down, 1500 up

Could you get me more info on your plan and rate?

I have 3 Mbps up/1.5 Mbps down in Orange, CA and pay significantly more.

I get 10mb down and 1 mbit up for 44.95 with no limits.
I do not agree with limits at all unless someone is downloading something crazy like 200 gigs a month

I thought Brighthouse Networks is Time Warner. Is that not true? The only information I can find through google makes it seem they are the same company.

Re: 3000 down, 1500 up

You actually get that through Time Warner?

The closest thing I see is Business 3Mbit/768Kbit for $499.95/month...
