torrents

Ive been on the ftp/fxp scene for 9 years now. im an irc fiend though i hate to download from fservers and xdccs.typically i only use 100mbit ftps or better.I also used to HATE torrents.well i stand here now as a torrent fiend.i have found 1000's of gigs of badass stuff i wouldnt have found anywhere else, and as far as speeds.beside peers/seeders your connected to, and beside the fact that your upload reflects your download, i have found if you set your max upload to about 10kbs less than your upload bw is, it can help gain speed on your torrents since you are reserving a little BW to connect to peers/seeds/trackers etc.
Torrents are great, but they are also horrific.its only a matter of time before they are non existent.but worry not, they can never stop piracy of any kind. not in our lifetimes at least.
