Centurytel has the USF fee also, they charge 1.75 per month, nothing is noted about this fee in there promo, just x amount per month. I have gone rounds with them with nothing being resolved....Seems strange to me they charge this fee on my phone line and then again on the dsl service????

We want our money back!

In a government effort to make broadband available in every U.S. home, the telcos have received millions of dollars of taxpayer money that was supposed to be used to make broadband available to as many households as possible. This was geared particularly towards rural areas where the telcos claimed it was too expensive to deploy for such a small customer base.

Hmm, the money is all gone and broadband is still not available in most rural areas and in parts of many cities. So where did they spend our money?

I think we need to start writing our own 'Squandered Taxpayer Money Recovery' credit on our bills and deducting the amount each month from our bills.
