i saw a copy once. There were words like "Warrenty", "Satisfaction Gauratee", "Customer Service", and "Hassle Free".
I think many companies are starting to use the "Macy's and Filene's" coupon styles. "10% off EVERYTHING IN THE STORE! --- Ths offer excludes Macy's brand products, name brand product, clothing, jewelry, underwear, men and women apparel, cooking wear, and everything else we sell for full price. This offer excludes all sale items also." |

| Unlimited vs unlimited
I can see the conversion now:
AT&T: Do you want the the $50 unlimited plan or the $79.99 unlimited plan? Customer: What's the difference? AT&T: The $50 unlimited plan isn't really unlimited, it's only good up to 100 MB. Customer: Then why do you call it "unlimited"? AT&T: Because we can.
BTW isn't AT&T Wireless part of Cingular now? I thought they were merging some time this year. -- "snmp: the standard e-mail protocol on the Internet" - LinkSys user manual (page 17) |

| AT&T is on it's last leg
What ever happened to AT&T's bible which spelled the company's philosophy of "Easy To Do Business With" and "Our Customer is #1." AT&T use to have a set of "Core Values" which included the following:
•"Respect For Individuals" •"Dedication To Helping Customers" and •"Highest Standards Of Integrity"
It is a shame that what is driving these changes, ROI & EBT (Return On Investment and Earnings Before Taxes) is the same thing that will doom every company that puts the dollar before customer loyalty and satisfaction.
When will a company learn that being sneaky, like what AT&T is doing in this case, will only piss-off more customers. Like the old saying goes, "Make a customer happy, they'll tell somebody, make them unhappy, they'll tell ten."
At one point in my career, I was proud to say that I worked for one of the world's most admired companies and was proud to do my job and take care of my customers. Now I'm sad to say that I'm ashamed to have ever been associated with the company.
Alexander Graham Bell must be turning in his grave. If he only knew what has become of a once proud company. |

AT&T accepted Cingular's bid. Now, one of the most corrupt organization ever known to human-kind, the United States Government, has to intervene in the market-place to review and approve the acquisition before it can actually happen. This will take a while and cost Cingular millions in transaction costs. Guess who pays in the end... |

| AT&T Doh!
Get this...On my AT&T wireless bill I have recently had "taxes" added. One of them is the "State Univ Svc Fund". When I called to ask what this was exactly, I was told, "You'll need to contact your local State University to find out about that." WTF? Haha! Uh...
I just do not understand how anyone could sell, with a straight face, unlimited plans that aren't. It seems to be a usual these days. Comcast, Emusic (remember that flap?), etc. etc.
Where are the false advertising laws? Would this hold up in court?
I hate calling AT&T because every time I do I get to talk to someone who has no vocabulary. I suppose they hire these people so that they can introduce new words like "unlimited" to them. Ugh. |

They were taken over by the commonplace greedy corporate executives!!! It is all about how much money the board and corporate execs can put in their pockets now. It is no longer about the customer or providing a service. |

Problem is that it isn't false advertising by definition. They do have a disclaimer in tiny print. You can thank all the lawers, courts and U.S. Government for that.
These days you can claim anything you want in big print as long as you disclaim it in tiny unreadable print. |

You are reading it all wrong. It's the restrictions that are unlimited!
There are features in the plan that are not "limited" at all and I have highlighted the relevant passage below.
MOBILE INTERNET $49.99 UNLIMITED PDA DATA PLAN - ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION The AT&T Wireless Mobile Internet Unlimited PDA Plan may be used with the following wireless devices; PalmOne Tungsten W, PalmOne Treo, Siemens SX56, the Motorola MPx200, or similar AT&T Wireless certified devices for the following purposes: (i) Internet browsing; (ii) e-mail; (iii) intranet access (including access to corporate intranets, e-mail and individual productivity applications like customer relationship management, sales force and field service automation). The Plan may not be used with server devices, with host computer applications or while tethering. Such prohibited uses include, but are not limited to, web camera posts or broadcasts, continuous jpeg file transfers, automatic data feeds, telemetry applications, automated functions or any other machine-to-machine applications. Data sessions cannot be used as a substitute for private lines or frame relay connections. AT&T Wireless reserves the right to deny or terminate service, without notice, to any person that uses the AT&T Wireless network in any manner prohibited above or when AT&T Wireless deems that subscriber's usage to be excessive thus potentially adversely impacting the AT&T Wireless network or service levels. AT&T Wireless further reserves the right to move a subscriber from the Mobile Internet Unlimited PDA Plan to the standard $79.99 monthly unlimited Mobile Internet Data Plan, without notice, if the subscriber uses more than 100 megabytes of data in each of two consecutive months.
Oh, btw... what are the limits on the 79.99 unlimited plan? |

I think, in the case of Colorado residents, they are correct. They're using the "State Uni" fee to pay for the mess these days in Boulder. (You Fort Collins guys should, of course, ask for your fair share for Colorado State.)

That's easy, robber baron CEO's. and CIO's who's compensation packages have not even the smallest relationship to the performance company these leeches are running. They treat their indentured servant, sorry their employees, like garbage, firing, and out sourcing as much as is possible. This results in two kinds of employees, one that is looking for another job, and the other who has found the better job and waiting to spring this news on is asshole boss. the 20, and 30 year employee is becoming a thing of the of the past, without them running a business is like trying to run the US Military without senor NCO's. -- "Remember when hacking a loogy it comes not so much from the lungs but from the soul." |
