Keep the bandwidth wars coming!!! But the price is what we want different! We want it LOWER!!!
edit: Give me a 1.5/1.5 connection and I'll be a happy customer . But for gosh sakes, do it for a reasonable price!!!! |

| Charter barely offers 3mb what a joke
Looks like a very nice upgrade. If Charter would quit dragging it's feet and offer something like that, I would gladly hand over my money to them. We don't even have 3mb here and probably won't until summer. Other networks are ahead of the pack while Charter is offering jack. Charter=the unwired world. |

Cincinnati Bell recently started offering 3mbps/768kbps DSL for $40/mo, now this ...
I hate Time Warner as a company, but price wars are fun. |

Here in Canada I have Cogeco
I am paying for standard speed (5000/640), for $45 (about 35$ USA)
They also offer pro speed (10000/1000), for $70 ( about $53 USA) |

That's a good price AND better upstream too. I don't care for the company TW keeps, but as a Portland, ME ISP customer of theirs I thought the service was great: in 2002 - 3000/300 sold, 3400/300 averages for 35 bucks. Stabile, stabile, stabile. I miss it. |

I called the Cinci Office and they said it may be out depending on how the service rolls out. However they are only providing the service to HEAVY users. And they only tell you about it when you get a PROMO Code they you get by RR Email to your Master Email Account.
When i called in they didn't even tell me about it until I asked for the service. And ALSO the RR Agent told me that this service does not have anything to do with DSL with SBC because Cinci DOES NOT have SBC they have Cinci Bell and they're speeds were about the same as RR. as far as Download goes but you get a good list of ISPs with DSL. But RR seems like they are going to take the market.
To find out if you are going to get it soon. Contact your Local Office and tell them you want a Super or call RR's HQ office at: 703-345-2400 they are open from 9am - 5pm Monday-Friday EST.
Also check the Help.RR.com website for network status and see when you are getting IP Network. the Columbus, WOH, and NEO areas are being updated this month and next month so prepare for a PROMO code from RR. |

Nice. I'm jealous. And canadians are more civilized too, eh? You guys have got to stop trying to be like the USA though 'cause it's making my escapes to Canada feel more like a domestic trip. Before you know it Canada will have fockin' HMOs & non-stop billboards! Then where will I go for a sanity fix? |

Every 2 months I get a great letter promising that its ready to be installed then I call and order and low and behold - I get the same damn response everytime "Oh We haven't designed the network at your location yet. Please wait about 6 months and you will get a letter telling you to call us!" ...Well when the heck do you plan to stop lying to me and deploy it?!?!?! Maybe after the rest of the world has gigabit internet access?!?!?!? What happened to teladesic and the LEO promise?!?!? I hope BPL is a deployed at my house soon maybe then the cable companies will move on deployments...no dsl and no cable make miah go something...something... |

Miah, sounds like you're yet another victim of marketing dept. hyperbole. Ain't capitalism great? Have you checked into wireless offerings in your area? That's what's reaching into the hamlets of these here mountainous NH parts. Many folks here aren't yet aware they even have a non-satelite option (satelite, btw, has way dropped in price). Good luck! |

| reply to lxAstrosxl How can you ever assume that RoadRunner will go out of business. Owned and operated by the 2nd larget cable provider and owned by the WORLD's LARGEST Media/Content Provider.
RoadRunner listens to their customers as well from what I heard @home didnt. And they only went out of business cause AT&T sued the hell out of them in parts that AT&T BI bought years ago.
But you can assume that RR will be around for a long time to come. |

RR speeds for our prices are very cheep especially the new speeds and prices. They also are starting to form lower packages for people that just want to surf and not spend a lot. Well that what i've been told by TWC Western Ohio's office.
But you are prolly one of the users that want the service thats this fast for what? $29.95 per month? YAH RIGHT! DSL cant even be that cheap for their 6MB connection. and DSL IS MUCH more for the same package. TWC is going to do some major custome grabbing once this goes all the way through. But EVEN the Business Clas Networks do NOT even get 6MB down! they ONLY get UP TO 4MB.
But this is a residential service. |
