Actually, they did: just read the patent.

Battaries

Pretty soon, Microsoft is gonna turn all humans into battaries to power a giant computer system that controls the world. I could've swore I saw that somewhere else... Hmmm...

I don't know about you, but mine already does for usually 7 to 8 hours a night I think the problem is when you see blue screens in your dreams. That is Microsoft's equivalent of the "free falling" dream. You just have to remember the "wake up before you land" principal to avoid any permanent segmentation faults.

Sure, I'am sure you can get 100m anyway. It's going to cost you. Now I have heard of them trying diffrent way's of transmitting Data. Using some other way than 1's and 0's, But you would have to show me. About the Body doing it????
Why don't you explain it to us stupid people, instead of just saying go look it up. I'am sure, we are all ear's.

This is how Skynet started!

Pretty neat, almost like being a human computer. Now all I need is a bigger "hard drive" and the ladies wont be able to resist me!

Great line! We can say we heard it here first by Sisqo See Profile! You should copyright that line, and contact Bartleby's so they can add it to their list.

MS may come around and claim they said it first!

LOL! Is this where computer viruses cross over to humans, just like in the (really bad) movies?

Can't see how this patent can be enforced

There is too much "prior work" demonstrating components of their "patented processes", from bio-feedback to robotic automation to currently available electro-reactive prosthetic devices. Someone needs to contest this quickly to prevent Microsoft from joining the likes of BT and their ridiculous Hyperlink patent.

Re: Can't see how this patent can be enforced

This sounded very familiar. So I did a quick search and found this old Wired article.

Back in October 1995 they demonstrated exchanging electronic business cards using small computers in peoples shoes and a handshake. And they addressed a previous posters question as well "A caveat: if you get tipsy at a party, don't exchange data with just anyone you never know who's carrying a virus program as their calling card."
