Re: Time for a service change

all they are doing is pushing for people who want voip to use one of their cable providers, since voip runs over broadband...

really has no true relation as in sharing profits..its basically just liek vonage, without the marketing ploy

also if you read it says AT&T is dropping their log distance.......

It happens when you start selling off your broadband and cell phone units. Is the board trying to get bought out or something? Or are they really that incompetent.

Re: Time for a service change

I cannot agree with you more. Years ago (1995-96), I told some of their executives that they should look toward cable since that provided the largest bandwidth and growth. It turned out to be their largest revenue producer - even larger than long lines. Armstrong (their CEO) sold it to COMCAST, left AT&T and then went to work for COMCAST.

What do they have now? Their wireless service was rated the worst by Consumers Union. They are being considered for a takeover. I think it's time me to bail out and get a new personal and business provider.

Exactly. But as I pointed out to one of my colleagues back then, they didn't know what the term "bandwidth" meant.
