I read that whole lettter 3 times...

Just cause I couldn't stop laughing! This guy is my new hero! Hot damn!

Best lines...

"As you may or may not be aware, Sweden is not a state in the United States. Sweden is a country in northern Europe."

"We further declare under penalty of perjury"

and of course the "It is the opinion of us and our lawyers" line. Now those are my kind of Lawyers! They'd make great divorce lawyers... especially if all the opinions involved retractable batons.

I notice that the latest offering posted in the images is 8-9, while the letter is dated 8-20.

I am also proud of my Swedish heritage. (I have relatives in Sunne.)

Like the MPAA vs. Earthstation 5

This is like when the MPAA threatened the developers of
Earthstation 5 under the DMCA after they said they were
going to stream first run movies on their network. And
they fired back with a counter letter saying that US law
did not apply in Jenin, Palestine.

Don't these morons in the movie, music and software
industry get it yet? - DMCA notices are meaningless
when served upon those outside the US.

What the hell??

Why cant all of these other countries deal with there problems just like we do?? Try your best to enforce your laws. If they past this law then fine yahoo should obide by it if they have a site and server in france. As far as in the U.S. they shouldnt worry about it. If people are accessing it from France then they are the ones breaking the law not yahoo. It is not against the law in the U.S. as we all know. The same problem exists around the world where certain types of porn are leagal that are not here in the U.S. If you access those sites you have broken the law not the site. Maybe next time we shouldnt go over and save there ass when they get invaded!! All they do is cause problems.

Uh

I'm pretty sure international copyright laws still apply in Sweden....

swedish law...

There is a predicating court decision in Sweden about web-sites linking to Mp3-files, which dictates that no copyright-laws are broken, unless you host the files on the same server...

In this case it's the same thing. The Bittorrent-files are only links to other users
