There's a long way to go when even after losing 1.8% of your market share to the alternatives, you STILL control 93.7 percent of the market.
7.3% up from 5.5% while impressive, is not threatening Microsoft anytime soon....
Keep up the pressure, as 1.8% here 2.4% there will eventually add up. |

Is DSLREPORTS.com stating by this FireFox logo that they support Firefox, and Firefox alone?
What about the full Mozilla 1.7? What about other users who use Safari or Opera...or any other alternative browser?
I like IE and Firefox... but come on. No logo in our faces please. Your just begging to create some flame wars. |

I wonder how much more those numbers would be if the majority of the people using Windows that dont know they can use something other than IE, started using something else. |

| Marketing Hype! General Public Doesn't Use
Yes, I use Firefox and like it!
However, most Firefox users are tech savvy and the general population knows NOTHING about Firefox.
Usage jumped 18% among geeks -- who comprise about 5% of the general population. Big deal.
Microsoft has NOTHING to worry about for a long time -- until they buyout the developers or re-engineer IE. -- "Canada is a good model for where the world needs to go in the 21st century" -- US Pres. Bill Clinton, Aug. 5, 2004, Toronto ON. |

Because you are one website out of billions.
Just because your website is not seeing an increase, doesn't mean more people aren't adopting a Mozilla based browser.
Just like the examples in the news article, just because they are seeing an increase on THEIR websites, doesn't mean the browser is being adopted.
All it means is their core group of users are switching.
I actually find it sort of funny. -- TripOnThis.net Administrator "Security by obscurity is no security at all. Don't believe the hype." (c) MntlCase |

It is strictly an endorsement - not about what you can use to navigate the site.
The code for this site, afaik, is as close to 'standard' as possible to support the widest variety of browsers. -- "Q: When will it be done? A: When pigs fly! " |
