al gore and the internet...

al gore sponsored a bill that funded arpanet's expansion into covilian areas... which in time became the internet.

he never actaully said 'i invented the internet'. the proper quote is 'i created the internet'.

'i invented the internet' was a mis-quote that a paper wrote, which tv news just repeated all over the place.

also, the 'discovering love canal' quote was also a mis-quote. he had in fact been involved in the legal case that brought attention to the love canal incident.
