Quote?

Where did the quote...."From $24 million net worth to zero" come from on the front headline? Its not like he has to pay it back, this will still be his when he gets out.

700K / month?

I see a lot of commentary on this but, ... could someone please tell me how to get started? Also, how exactly is crack made? This all sounds too good to be true! Here all these years I've been working for money!

Everyone knows the story already, but now in this article it says he will be free for another 4 years. Read the last sentence in the article. Man this guy is going to have a good time these next 4 years spending his 24mil. Everyone should post their email so I can begin my temporary business.lol

WHat will the real sentence be?

This thread got very interesting. Many points formulated and taken.
First a quick comment on what the proper sentence will be.
Take away all the money he did illicit (no matter what the crime). Money generated illicitly is stolen money period. This method has worked for awhile, even in drug trafficking.

Gang rape this guy is not a punishment, period(think about it, he might get use to it and other more psychological reasons as well as humanistic)

Just like in drug trafficking there are other culprit parties. Those who solicited services. In the 80s some chemical companies in the US where prohibited in shipping certain chemicals to countries that where consider drug trafficking haven which use these substances in the process of making illegal drugs. Hence this comment
"What about the companies he was spamming for? They need to be fined for hiring him. In fact, they should lose their business license. They are not an honest company."

I agree with it as long as it can be proven that these companies knew about it.

Also these ISPs are as much responsible. The Internet is not owned by ANY COMPANY of COUNTRY. This was hard work during DARPA years and then NSF. It belongs to those who use regardless of money. We paid for this infrastructure indirectly. Do we want of few of us to misuse it?

I hope this guy gets what he deserves. Yes I'm aware of Kevin Metnik, Phiber Optic, and MaxVision (who violate parole twice) but remember the junk bond expert who got two years in jail and who knows how much probation. Yes Michael Miliken, who most probably know makes a couple of millions of dollars (a year, and maybe gang rape did not dissuade him at all). Punish them for the reason they did it MONEY, and take it ALL away and more.
