| They put Capone in Alcatraz, so... If we can put Al Capone in Alcatraz for tax evasion, then I see no reason why we can't put this guy into a similar max. security prison for, say, 1-2 years (to appease the "that's too harsh" crowd in here).
I'd suspect that lifers in a max. security prison would compare nicely to a spammer doing 1-2, if that would make you "slap on the wrist" types feel better.
He won't be in there long, but while he is in there, he'll go by the name "Mary Sunshine" and think twice about spamming again IF and WHEN he gets out in 1-2 years.

| 9 year seems just right! Jeremy committed wire fraud and will be keeping millions of dollars offshore while earning interest, sounds to me like he has made a far trade. I wonder if he will ever be extradited to any of the European countries, where you are guilty until innocent. | |

besides most isp already have spam filters.. we get junk regular mail all the time.. we see and hear commercials on tv and radio..
y should an email spammer get jail time. okay he gets money when someone buys something from his email links.. commission.. is it really "unsolicitated"? someone wants the product and he found a good way to advertise

I have never signed up for anything on my ISPs email account and I get spam.. So don't lecture me on unsolicted.. Look it up.. Just because I get it doesn't mean it's solicited.. To solicit meants to ask the individual if they want the email. It's also not advertisement... He was spamming and conning people.. Even if it was inderectly. If fedex or ups got caught transporting drugs withought trying to stop it they would be complicit (look it up).. Learn your law and quit posting crap.. Roms eh.. Piracy is ok too?
