I wonder if this will be the "killer app" that will bring about a surge of demand for broadband throughout the states, and forces ISPs to more seriously start deploying én massé at an accelerated basis (compared to the rate they are going now, any serious deployment would be accelerated  ).

I could see where this would be a nice way to catch TiVo records while you are out of the house, either in the backyard or a 1000 miles away.
The problem though, is the “source” TV has to be showing whatever sling is streaming. So, in my case, say I am watching the Pats on a Sunday afternoon, and my wife has a show on the downstairs DirecTiVo she wants to watch upstairs, she cannot use this to watch it upstairs, since sling needs DirecTiVo to switch to that show. So, while this allows you to watch the 1 show on multiple TVs, it does not allow you to watch the 1 show on any 1 TV.
It’s a nice step, but, in my case, a networked DirecTiVo that serves up any show to any TV at any time is what is needed.

Would be great over my lan. My tinkering with Wi-Fi has now enabled 25% of the lake I live on to be wi-fi accessiable.
I would enjoy this, Relaxing on a raft, watching SG-1 and SG-Atlantis, Or hell, could be anywhere within 2k feet from my home :P
