I'll get a Comcast cell! |

@sfldmi.ameritech | Considering that Sprint has the most limited PCS network of them all, this is likely not all it's cracked up to be. It will be interesting to see what shakes out. |

Comcast had cell phones under the Cellular One brand before and sold the business to SBC which of course, became Cingular. |

Actually I have a Sprint phone and I love it. Their plans are great and my service is just as good as any other wireless carrier I've used for all the places I go. I really like the cost of the Vision plan and the unlimited text as well. It's all priced very reasonably for both my husband and myself.
And guess what? I like Comcast well enough too! Heh. |

I do not know where you get your info from. Sprint has a very diverse wireless network. I have never been in a place in the U.S. where I was unable to use my Sprint PCS phone.
I was up at Mammoth mountain hiking at 12,000 ft. Worked fine. |

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but aren't Sprint and Comcast like arch rivals? Having my DSL and Cable provider team up would be sort of weird. -- Webmaster of WRT54G.com - Official Microsoft Longhorn Beta Tester |

Different divisions of sprint, that is sprint local (for dsl).
Sprint Actually has one of the largest networks avaliable, all on 1 single frequency (1900mhz) all using cdma. Unlike other providers which were made from aquiring many smaller providers. |

I went from Sprint to Verizon (Verizon supposedly had the best network at the time), I have been hating it ever since....
I should hace stuck with sprint, or gone to cingular. |

Just analyze who are Sprints competitors - then look at who owns them - then you can see who is truly vying for a contract with the cable companies |

I don't get why so many people feel insulted that those who subscribe to a better cable package get a better price on internet. Isn't a company entitled to set it's pricing as it sees fit? |

cellular one was a comcast company? this i did not know... they havnt become cingular as far as i can tell, as Cell one is still an active wireless company here, owned by Dobson Cellular, not SBC. |

Actually Sprint is spinning off their landline business. So, it wouldn't actually be that your DSL and Cable provider are teaming up. |
