Now if only I get a piece of that That can spam act may be a good deterent to anyone who thinks they can get rich spamming, doesn't matter if it gets taken away and you spend years in jail.

Kudos to AOL

Most of us use ISPs that offer some type of optional SPAM blocking. But this was not the case a few years ago.

Good for AOL for fighting spammers back at a time when most other ISPs were viewing "spam as a problem customers have that is none of our business".

And kudos to AOL for raffling off the recovered loot (or some of the recovered loot) off to one of their customers, instead of pocketing it all.

That shows that they remember that spam is a problem that is shared by ISPs and their customers.
