| Be aware of an outfit called "Evergreen Alliance"
Be advised that an outfit by the name of Evergreen Alliance has gotten a hold of credit card and personal data and is charging a bogus $9.95 fee to accts. for website software.
When you call their phone number any time day or night you get an answering machine directing you to e-mail them. They refuse to explain how they got your I.D. nor will they provide a refund despite repeated requests. They only answer e-mail if they feel like it...
These folks look to be another Russian/Ukraine SCAM operation from what I've observed. With automated $9.95 charges to hundreds or thousands of credit cards a week, they haven't (yet) attracted a lot of attention because it's only $9.95. I suspect that banks may not even be reporting these small charges to Visa/Mastercard. Unless they do, these folks will just closed the doors and open 5 minutes later as a different company and continue scamming for millions, $9.95 at a time, as fast as their PC can charge a credit card.
These people need to be shut down and thrown in jail, IMNHO. |

And on a similar off topic note I got an email from a buddy:
" "Digital Age" originating form cyprus for 24.99 and to top it off I was assesed a 74 cent currency exchange fee"
Basically you need to just watch for ANY unusual activity or charges you dont recognize. And not just on credit card, but phone bill too. Someone tried to throw on a $30 a month "voicemail" system onto ours once.
I've also seen ppl try to sneak on like $2 charges to see if you are paying attention to the credit card, I had that happen to me. It was very funky because you called the 800 number on the transaction and it started out with a recorded message that said right up front: "if you are calling about a charge on your credit card press 1" then it said it would take it off. hahahahahahaah. Very shady, like they had an automated system to remove the charges, you never had to speak to a person.
